  1. The only trade back deal I would take at this point is with one of the teams who has two 1sts this year (Eagles, Giants, Jets) and I get both of their 1sts this year. Otherwise, I want to stand pat and take either one of Thibs or Hutch. We need talent all around, that's true. We need elite playmakers on both sides of the ball in the worst way though. This team hasn't had a truly elite playmaker on it since Calvin retired and I don't want to pass up on getting one with Thibs or Hutch unless I get a haul (two 1sts or more) from another team.
  2. People get pissed when their Amazon order is delayed a week.
  3. I'm just merely pointing out that Cruz is being cold and dismissive of people with pre-existing conditions and so he should be equally cold and dismissive to the man he worships in Trump.
  4. Trump has a ton of comorbidities including obesity, hypertension, high blood pressure, and (I would guess) diabetes or pre-diabetic. Soooooooo, what's Lyin' Ted got to say to Trump?
  5. I'm going with a C+. There isn't a coach in America from Bill Belichick to Mike Tomlin to Bruce Arians who could win more than 4-5 games with this roster. This team simply lacks talent at key positions. So Campbell, like any coach, gets a pass in that regard. The beginning of the season was a train wreck and was as bad as 2008 under Rod Marinelli and Matt Millen. Then they capped off their poor start with the massacre in Philly where they played and looked as bad as they did all season. After the Philly game and Campbell taking over offensive play calling things seemed to turn around somewhat. I think they largely turned around because our QB got his confidence back after having it shattered for the first 9-10 weeks of the season. Once we had a serviceable starting QB with Goff's improved play, things settled down and team won a few games. That said, if Dan Campbell was indeed the person behind hiring Anthony Lynn and giving him play calling duties, that is a drag on his resume. Lynn clearly wasn't the guy for the job and assuming Campbell hired him, that should count as a strike against him. Campbell hired the wrong guy for the job. I also question some of Campbell's own play calling decisions, notable running on 2nd and 22, 3rd and 33. Some people may knock him on the fact that he seems to vacillate between being aggressive one moment and conservative the next, but different scenarios require different approaches, and I wont knock him right now for that. I'm still not sold on the idea that Campbell isn't just a meathead of a coach and he needs to prove to the organization and fansbase that he can right the ship on offense and hire the right guy to be his OC. With all that said, I'm sticking with my C+ grade.
  6. I like it! The guy was one of the most careful (in a smart way), cerebral and thoughtful players on the ice to ever play the game. Hopefully that thoughtful nature translate over well to the front office. He seem like the type of guy that would excel in a player development or scouting type role.
  7. That's the thing that directly undermines Craig's entire argument. He wants to hammer Democrats on crime (him having been one himself up to a few years ago) and he was the Police Chief of the very city that has high crime. What is he going to implement as Governor that he didn't as Chief? Thus far, he hasn't laid out a single policy idea and only talked about a bunch of political buzzwords.
  8. James Craig was a Democrat up until a few years ago. Craig also goes around hammering Democrats on failed crime and criminal justice policies, meanwhile, crime went up while he was Police Chief and implemented programs like Project Greenlight.
  9. See, Dana is the person I like the most. I think as far as consumer protections goes she's been as good an AG we've had since Frank Kelly. Nessel has been unafraid to go after special interests and big corporations.
  10. Starting it off with the first statewide poll for 2022 that I have seen. I would out the caveat out there that this is one poll, very early in the race, and polling is often wrong and off the mark. I'm sure these numbers, at this stage, mean little, but still, it is at least encouraging to see the Governor produce solid numbers like these, even if a bit inflated. WDIV: Michigan Gubernatorial Race Poll Whitmer approval trending up after dip Survey results show voters view Gov. Whitmer favorably by a margin of 47.6% favorable to 39.6% unfavorable. Whitmer is viewed favorably by Independent voters by a margin of 49.0% favorable to 32.9% unfavorable. 56.2% of Michigan voters approve of the job being done by Gretchen Whitmer as governor, compared to 38.7% who disapprove. That’s an improvement for Whitmer from the Fall, when her approval rating was 48.3% and her disapproval was near 44%.
  11. I figured it is time to start a thread to talk about our state races coming up this year for Governor, Attorney General, SOS, and State House/Senate.
  12. Reuters: CNN fires anchor Chris Cuomo over role in brother ex-governor's sex scandal CNN fired Cuomo because he helped his brother Andrew, although the new allegations were the icing on the cake. "Chris Cuomo was suspended earlier this week pending further evaluation of new information that came to light about his involvement with his brother's defense." "We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review, and have terminated him, effective immediately," In-regards to Hannity, his network, on their Fox & Friends show, went on the air and read Chris Cuomo text messages about Chris helping to run interference and advise his brother Andrew. Hannity (and Carlson) then went on Fox approx. a month later and complained about his text messages were read and made public. And do you know what Hannity was saying and attempting to do in those text to Mark Meadows, run interference and advise Trump, similar to Cumo advising his brother. Just some of Hannity's texts to Mark Meadows . . .
  13. I might or might not be as old as you, but I'm old enough to remember Obama Death Panels as well as the evils of Canadian-style socialist medicine.
  14. The other thing I'd like someone on the right and Fox News to answer for is the fact that CNN FIRED Chris Cuomo for running political interference on behalf of his corrupt brother and the sinking ship that was Andrew Cuomo. Why hasn't Hannity been admonished or fired by Fox News for his text messages and role in January 6th? What gives, wouldn't want to be hypocritical would we?
  15. Don't forget the ANTIFA narrative. January 6th was just ANTIFA people infiltrating peaceful patriots going for a leisurely stroll through the Capitol. Remember, Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and others in right wing media were purposefully and falsely speculating ANTIFA was involved.
  16. Of all the celebrity and artist deaths of the past couple of years Justin Townes Earle was one of the ones who effected me the most. So thankful for the time he was here on this planet and the phenomenal music he was able to produce.
  17. The Independent: Capitol rioter found with homemade napalm had folder with ‘good guy, bad guy’ list and numbers for Ted Cruz, Sean Hannity From the article . . . Peaceful protestors, tourists really, just there to see the Capitol Building.
  18. Speaking of Tammy Baldwin, she has a lot of things going for her to be a contending candidate for 2024. She's boring and inoffensive, like Biden is/was, and moderate/center-left voters like those safe, boring characteristics in a politician. Yet, on public policy, she leans towards progressives and the left with her support of Medicare For All, labor rights, Citizen's United/money in politics, Green New Deal, etc. She is solidly progressive, without appearing as a leftist to the average voters. She also doesn't have the reputation of calling herself a democratic-socialist either. She is also a box checker from a demographic standpoint being both a woman and a lesbian woman apart of the LGBTQIA community. Baldwin also does something that few progressives running in statewide elections usually do, she wins and does so by large margins. She also does better than most Democrats in rural communities and among non-college educated voters. If Biden doesn't run, Baldwin would be wise to throw her hat in the ring for 2024.
  19. It's really wild to think of the fact that there may indeed be Baldwin/Johnson voters, although probably not many. I suspect more or less Johnson and Republicans win in Wisconsin when Democrats or Democratic-leaning voters don't bother to show up.
  20. He's the second winningest coach in the division.
  21. Lots of changes in the NFC North today as the Bears have fired Matt Nagy and GM Ryan Pace and the Vikings have fired Mike Zimmer and GM Rick Spielman.
  22. We all remember who killed the original USFL too.
  23. I would not want to see Eric Ebron has a two way player. Not only would he drop the pass, he'd drop the INT as well.
  24. Someone, somewhere must have used the word big game and thus Stafford fell apart and looked average.
  25. I don't understand why the Chargers and Raiders are running plays. The smart move from both a coaching and analytics standpoint is to take a knee on every play and both go into the playoffs without risk injuries.
