Based on injury report updates Gibbs must have gotten hurt at practice. Injuries during in season practices are unacceptable. I almost think they shouldn’t do anything but walk throughs once the season starts. Stop allowing the possibility of injury outside of games. Makes zero sense to actually practice.

I think we know the plan with Mosley. Work him in slowly. I would expect him fully up to speed and entrenched as the starter after the bye week. If he returns to form he is a clear upgrade over Jacobs.

If he is practicing he is definitely playing on Sunday. Adding a good corner is huge.

I think any NFL on-field evaluation of JaMo is invalid. Coming off the ACL as quickly as he did didn’t allow for anything except to allow him to get into the rhythm of the NFL schedule. The eval begins now.

Vikings are absolutely in a must win here. They have the chiefs next week. Down 10-0 early in the 2nd quarter. Lions don’t play the Vikings until weeks 16 and 18. Might be a much different Vikings team than started the season. If they can’t pull it out today they are staring 0-5 in the face with a number of tough games remaining. I’m not sure what direction that team is going. Seems like this is the last year of Cousins.

The thing is. It seems obvious with Gibbs. Put him in motion and swing it to him. Throw a screen pass. Put him in the slot and quick go. All of these are things the lions don’t do with him. Once Jaymo gets part of the action? Jaymo runs the go and then you can hit Gibbs on all of the above. That’s how I’d like to see the duo used. Jaymo on the go, from the slot, game changer. Let them change the game. My biggest frustration with Ben is that he is using Montgomery and Gibbs as they are the same back. No recognition of their different skill sets. Ben is using Montgomery perfectly and completely misunderstanding how to use Gibbs. It’s odd.
