  1. Looks like week 7 Bal, week 9 bye. Smack dab for the bye. That’s nice.
  2. I just keep thinking things are due. Lions are due for a season opener win. Chiefs are due for a season opening loss and the lions are just due, in general. Lions will beat the chiefs week 1.
  3. I’m still expecting them to get a home MNF game. Both prime time games are on the road (excluding thanksgiving of course).
  4. Let’s ****ing go.
  5. Dolphins at Chiefs in Germany. Lions will head to KC, just don’t know when.
  6. It’s officially official, the schedule will be released on Thursday with the international games announced on Wednesday. This thread will serve to discuss all things Lions schedule and anticipated results across the league. I suspect the Lions to have 2 prime time games outside of the thanksgiving game: One road SNF game and one home MNF game. I know the chiefs didn’t want to play the bears in Germany, but assuming that didn’t change I could see the Lions opening on KC. Im ready.
  7. We really arguing this? Last I checked geno smith is still their QB. Seattle won’t make the playoffs this coming year. Detroit will. Book it.
  8. People are too concerned with where players were taken. For example, no one would have been too upset if the lions would have taken Branch with the 18th pick. He was considered a sure fire first rounder, even invited to the green room. If you blinded the first 5 picks from what order they were picked in most everyone would agree the lions got a haul. That’s why I think perceived value is such a nerd argument, it’s meant for a vacuum. Look at Campbell and Branch. Lions didn’t absolutely need Branch, they were fortunate to get him where they did. But they were willing to not get him. Different philosophy for Campbell. Holmes and Dan concluded the was their guy. He was the one they wanted because LB was such a need on this team. They went and ensured they got him, didn’t leave it to chance that he was there in the 2nd round. Love the strategy. The numbers of this draft class is in historic category for Holmes and the Lions. Let’s see how it plays out on the field now.
  9. Says the guy on a message board.
  10. They weren’t second rounders. Mel killer don’t know ****. the same guys trashing the lions are the same guys who thought st brown was the 17th best receiver.
  11. This is why I don’t think Gibbs is a reach. People were looking for the best athletes and playmakers in this draft. Mock draft warriors aren’t inside the GM offices and seeing the big boards. I suspect there were a few teams that had Gibbs rated as high and he would have gone likely before 18. The 20s are unpredictable and Campbell was clearly the best LB in this draft. The lions got who they feel is the best RB/pass catcher and LB in this draft, both position of need.
  12. This is the way I see it too. Watching bama last year he was the most electric player on the field. He will be spilt out, taking handoffs and can return kicks. This was a good pick, don’t let the value nerds say otherwise.
  13. Because it’s a team friendly deal that they can easily move on from and have tons of cap space and anzalone is a really good depth guy, he got better as the year went on. Anzalone contract is marginal.
  14. Building the Eagles of last year.
  15. The lions have no time to discuss your big boards or positional value. Holmes getting his guys, where he had them ranked. That’s all there is to it.
  16. If that’s your guy. That’s your guy. I really like this pick. Now it makes sense.
  17. Wow. Gibbs is the pick. Love it.
  18. I’d puke. I knew things were trending too well. Lions gonna **** up the draft and leafs gonna blow a 3-1 series lead.
  19. That sucks. This isn’t going well.
