  1. I suppose this would all depend on whether you think this year is a 'win now' window, or if the Lions should just continue focusing on building for long term by holding onto their draft picks and using their cap money to retain their star players - rather than spending $$$
  2. The Lions would have a parade down Michigan Ave if they landed that guy. He'll likely cost more than just a 1st though (I'm pretty sure Denver won't give him up). Holmes seems to be a build thru the draft guy, and he's pretty good at it. I'd hate to see the Lions give up draft capital. Then again, it's not like Brad Holmes doesn't make big trades 😄 I wonder if Suh would come back on a 1 year deal
  3. I'm with you on that. Tampa is one of my least favorite teams - which has everything to do with them being a former division rival
  4. True, Jacobs and Harris have played out of their minds... against Desmond Ridder, Jordan Love, and Bryce Young. I don't know if their secondary situation is sustainable. They could use a depth piece at corner
  5. Adoree' Jackson
  6. Buyers, sellers, both, neither?
  7. Definitely makes them fun to watch. I want to see them win something for a change though. This team never WINS ANYTHING. Not since forever. Give us a couple of playoff wins. Give us one playoff win. A division title. Something. Anything.
  8. I go back farther and older than that. You'll never catch me Buddha
  9. Well, to be fair... they're only 4 games in. It's really early - they still have 13 more to play. It's a good start but again, the Lions haven't really done anything except not suck so far. We'll see where things are at the end of November. And I think I'll hold off calling them a "really good football team" until they actually WIN something first
  10. Looking good Justin Fields. That's right Chicago - keep believing in this guy. Retain him for next year, do NOT draft a QB. Win some games, fall in the draft
  11. Yes. We want the Bears to win tonight
  12. Damn. Witherspoon is a stud. Wish we could've drafted that guy. Seattle beat us to it
  13. That might just be JaMo's speed. Goff threw it to a spot, and JaMo likely got there faster than Goff thought he would. Not the first time we've seen him outrun Goff's arm. He had a drop at one point (can't remember when) where the ball was thrown behind him... again, I think he just got to a spot quicker than other Lions receivers would've. The dude is fast, like insane Randy Moss fast. He and Goff need to get their timing down (hopefully they're putting in the work)
  14. Wow Russ Francis was killed (plane crash). I remember that guy
  15. Yeah only 7 freakin days early before the actual game starts. Shame on you
  16. I tend to agree. I haven't been all that impressed with him either. I don't understand why the national media fawns over him so much for someone who's done absolutely nothing so far ("wait until they get Jameson Williams back!", "Jameson Williams will has been reinstated!", etceee, etceee)
  17. Or..... perhaps you're just reading too much into things? 😃
  18. Nice job again on the GD thread Cardinal. Kudos
  19. It's a long way to the draft... but do you think Fields is done in Chicago?
  20. Baltimore is going to be a handful for the Lions this year
  21. Neither are the Bears Lol
  22. I'm cool with some Bears and Vikings wins. I don't want either team picking at the top of the draft. Neither appear to be a threat to the Lions, so go ahead - win some games. Just not today, Vikings
  23. Brutal pick 6 by Cousins. Panthers win would be a two-fer. Loss to a division team plus a drop in the Bears' draft pick
  24. It also appears whenever Johnson brings Gibbs off the sideline and into the backfield... *everyone* knows he's getting the ball. With Monty there's usually the threat of play action, but with Gibbs the opposing D always seems to key on him and he ends up getting gang tackled
