If we added Mayo, Cowser/Kjersted and Basello I could..... The Tigers aren't poor. Realistically they are probably one of the top 7 teams in MLB in terms of money they can spend.....

Trading Skubal and Flaherty, then re-signing Flaherty and Corbin Burnes would be better 😋

The only reason I think it'd be a failure is if they don't trade Flaherty. They should be able to get decent prospects and then have the money to re-sign him in the off season. I get that we get a QO pick after the first round, but it'd be nice to get a teams 3-10 prospect and then re-sign him after getting that player..... Don't get me wrong, I still think Skubal should go. But I think it woulda happened by now if it was.... (I'd love to be wrong here....)

Big difference from Lorenzen and Flaherty though. Flaherty will bet a pick near #35 in the draft. Lorenzen wouldn't of..... If we don't get at least a first round grade talent, we keep Flaherty. The return should be better than Hao-Yu.... Dalton Rushing for Flaherty is a good comparison....

So much talk with the Holliday trades.... Sorry, I just don't get it. Any deal that includes Holliday would pretty much be it. Are we basically willing to trade Skubal for Holliday? Any Add-ins from Baltimore side won't be super high end pieces..... I'd rather NOT get Holliday and get a package involving two of Cowser, Kjersted, Besallo, Mayo and add in one of Povich, Norby, Mcdermet..... That's much better value than just trying to get basically one player.... We have too many long term holes to fill.

I don't think Rushing is going to be a "superstar" though. We need guys that have a chance at being a superstar. Kjerstad and Mayo have the .900+ ops type to carry teams if they "hit" so to speak as prospects. We need stud level. I don't think Rushing, Freeland or Jackson Ferris offer that type of upside.

I dunno. If they got Kjersted, Mayo and Povich the lineup late next year/going into 26 could look like 1. - Clark CF 2. Kjersted LF 3. Greene - RF 4. Mayo - 3B 5. Jung - 2B 6 - Carpenter 1B 7. McGonigle SS/FA to hold over for Rainer 8. Dingler 9. DH (FA) (maybe Tork figures it out) This doesn't even include anyone we sign outside of our organization. In the offseason, offer Burnes and Flaherty to Resign. Burnes Jobe Flaherty Olson Mize (?) Bullpen That my friends is a playoff team. Ahh one can dream..... Ok back to reality.....

That's not 100% accurate. I looked up Cleveland and they have three guys. Plus, I also consider guys .790 to be close enough to .800 for arugment sake. I see what you're saying here.
