Gonna have to start breaking up the core in Toronto...Marner goes 1st

Michael Brandsegg-Nygard is a SY kind of pick. RH shot...decent size...some skill but also very responsible defensively
As a 19 year old who doesn't turn 20 until February...I think Gibson has to play Jr next year unless he's somehow good enough to make the Wings. I think that's also the case with Finnie
-
Bobby Witt Jr...now that's a SS.

If the football thing doesn't work....Manu could always find a home in the WWE.

They used to say Jacques Demers had a five year contract with a three year act...
Hope that isn't the case here

Draft staging area is sold out...people are being advised to head towards the secondary staging areas if they aren't in already.

Coffey was one of the best skaters I've ever seen...
-
HOF TE Charlie Sanders deserves a mention as well

For me...4th is a close call between Delvecchio, Kelly and Sawchuk.
-
Mitchell and Wiggins...not to be confused with former Rocket SG MItchell Wiggins...are the 2 CB's I'd want to see them draft in RD 1
-
Lanier...Zeke...Laimbeer edges Joe D. Grant Hill and Cade Cunningham are two of the most gifted players I've seen in Pistons uni's going back to the 70's, but they don't have the longevity.
Another extremely talented player that threw it away by becoming an addict was the late, great Marvin Barnes. He was James Worthy with a jump shot
-
Since I started watching in 1970...Barry, Calvin and Lem Barney. Barney claims to be the only member of the Football HOF to have a gold record. He and Mel Farr did backing vocals on Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin On"
-
In my fandom...roughly 1970 to today...I would say Miggy,Tram and Lou with Verlander,Lolich and Morris on the mound
-
Cossa statistical oddity...this is the third straight year he's posted a .913 save percentage.
Too bad about the prospect tournament...that and the red/white scrimmage after the draft are part of my summer hockey fix on youtube

Delvecchio and Red Kelly deserve some mention...along with Federov

sure, that works. Duality is maybe the oldest recurring theme in human history.
That or brother vs brother...which is kinda the same thing

Salt Lake City has a long history of supporting minor league hockey....but so did Phoenix. Although the arena issue may have been a bigger problem than fan support in Phoenix.
If Phoenix gets a building and another team..they shoukd definitely be xalled the Roadrunners

We owe a pick still...if we fall far enough in this dog of a draft...just send it out to the Knicks if you can't trade it

lindholm has had decreasing production every year since he scored 40 goals and he is about to turn 30. no thanks.
why are you so high on tuomisto? he seems like trade filler to me. like sebrango.
I'm looking forward to seeing Tuomisto this summer in the prospect camps and next fall. He's RH...really big...skates well has a cannon shot and has a bit of an edge. Started the year in Toledo and moved to GR and carved out a bigger role as the season went on.

Where's the money going to come from though to get a big free agent when they have to pay both Seider and Raymond. They have $2,813,684 in cap space currently and if all three of Kane, Perron, and Sprong left that would be about $19 million cleared in cap space when you calculate what they have plus the three players leaving. Wouldn't Seider and Raymond eat most, if not all, of that cap space up with $8 million/year contracts?
Capfriendly says they have $28 million. That might be enough to fit Raymond, Seider and a impact acquisition
-
If Kane, Sprong and Perron leave...I'd like to see them add a legit 30+ goal scorer like Guentzel, Reinhart or even Stamkos. Plug in that one big FA signing and move up Kasper and Mazur. Fischer should be resigned We also need to upgrade goal from Husso.
On D..be nice to bring back ghost. The contracts on D are short enough that that unit will sort itself out over the next couple of years
-
If they start relegating vets in p!ace of youth...they might regress a bit, but be better positioned for the future. Petry and Matta have 1 year left, Chiarot and Holl have two. These contracts aren't going to horribly difficult to offload.
Not sure Lalonde should be back. Two straight years of horrible play at clutch time is disquieting
