I do think it's important to have Stewart and Duren out there together. The question is do you put Ausar in for for Ivey to try slow down Bridges or Thomas. Ivey really isn't helping a lot right now.
We've seen this tale before. Do it in the 4th quarter when it matters to close the game out. These third quarter surges are nice but don't win you games.
Wiseman is so bad.
It is really just killing the Pistons that Cade and Ivey are not developing to their draft hype. Maybe it's just youth. Cade puts up some nice stats but man, they seem like low impact stats.
I'll say this for Ivey...he has been playing with a lot more urgency lately. Still not playing great but this is the hardest I have seen him play over a period of several games, including his time at Purdue. He just doesn't have a great feel for the game though. Mental errors and sloppy ball handling/passing are a continual problem.
I think the problem with the bench is more the big guys than the guards. Not that Sasser or Burks are that good but we can't get anything done with Wiseman in there, even if he is playing with starters.
Pistons 1-6 from three and getting wide open looks. It's the NBA folks. When your two starting guards struggle to stay about 30% on three point shooting, you are not going to win a lot of games.
Monty just overthinks things. Should have taken Cade out with two fouls first instead of Bogey. Now Cade has to play soft on defense with the subs and the Nets immediately go on a mini spurt.
Glad Vecenie went on rant. It's good people not part of the Detroit media are bringing light that something is rotting inside this organization.
Interesting take on Weaver doubling down on his mistakes. It seems spot on. The fact Killian is still around is insane.
I don't hold Cade and Ivey too much against Weaver yet though. The Pistons can start exploring trades but it's too early to sell low on those guys. There may be an element of coaching and development that we should be more concerned about with those two.
If this is true, then there is very little hope for the future. This is terrible leadership, whether it's coming from Gores or somebody else. If it's coming from somebody else, Gores needs to get rid of them immediately.
I do feel bad for the players. They are playing harder than most NBA teams play on a nightly basis and desperately trying to break this streak but it doesn't matter. The Pistons just don't have good enough players.
Cade getting some garbage time stats.
Not sure how we are going to break this streak. We get blown out by good teams and usually hover around a 10 point deficit against average teams before they pull away late. Weaver should be fired immediately.
I don't see Bogey's trade value being much less now than it was last year. Their asking price was too high last year and the Pistons need to lower it but they should be able to get equal or close to what they could have got last year.
It's our young guys that I would be concerned about their value.
