Besides, we have how many billion doses of mRNA vaccines out administered now? People would be dropping like flies by now, right?

The various corona virus tests on ferrets and mice gave great initial results. Better than we are seeing from the covid vax. But a year later the results were not so good. We'll see next year.

We do have people getting ill and dying from the vax. They are just being panned or minimized by the pro-vaxxers. I post a list of 75 athletes who have suffered and they find 1-2 who might have suffered/died of other causes so they ignore the other 70+.

95%-100% of professional (and college) athletes are vaxxed, yet they are suffering epidemics of positive cases (but not in deaths, hospitalizations, or illnesses) and are canceling hockey games and Bowl games left and right. WHY?! They are all fully vaxxed. They should have much LESS problem than the rest of us.

I have little patience for babies that complain about having to wear a mask all day. My wife’s been doing it since this began while dealing first hand with the idiots and their families. Seriously. Grow the fuck up and get some balls.

Your wife throws around 600 50-60 pound boxes all day for ten hours like I do? With a mask on and worn properly the whole time? For 50 hours a week, nonstop? I guess your wife does have balls (you said it, not me).

masks at all times when you are not eating/drinkin. Pro-tip...always have a beverage at your desk to allow you to work without a mask.

But why? Cannot the virus be transmitted while drinking or eating? Especially if you are cheating by always having a drink handy? And that's at a desk. It's much worse if you do physical labor.

It's the height of irony when a guy who sits on his @$$ for a living and still finds ways to unmask, but criticizes guys who do strenuous physical labor for 8-10 hours a day for being anti-mask 😕

If you as much as *touch* your mask, even if "permitted legally", you've just rendered it more of a hazard than a help. If it works, it's collecting whatever you expel. And you've just touched that concentrate with your fingers - the most disease-spreadable part of your body. And everybody does that to eat, drink, or just breathe.

frankly who wants to wear a mask 8+ hours?

That's a factor that often gets ignored. It's one thing to wear a mask for 15 minutes while shopping, or even a couple hours at some event, but for 10 hours a day at work, while doing strenuous activity without respite?

Nobody, but nobody, wore them properly the entire time. That made them more of a hazard than a help. Where I work, ALL of our covid cases (including mine) came during the mask mandate. NONE before or since. But who could wear one properly all shift long without passing out before lunch?

I AM saying that Correa has been a much better offensive player than Baez.  There's simply no question about that.

Better plate discipline, but they are comparable in every other area. CC is not nearly with twice the money for twice the length - especially considering his injury history, which probably won't improve as he gets older.

I can't think of anyone here who wants to do that.

That's what Correa is asking, so that's what every one complaining about signing Baez instead of Correa wants to do.

They offered him $28M per for 10 years and he rejected it. That means we'd have to offer MORE to get him to sign.

He's a good shortstop but he's not Honus Wagner, or even Alan Trammell. No way would I want him on a Miggy-plus contract.

FWIW, I haven't seen anyone "whining" around here, just recognizing that Baez isn't the overall offensive producer that Correa is.

Sure he is, except he strikes out too much and doesn't walk enough.

You had to cut out the 3rd year and add the covid year (which was weird for lots of players) to get your stats, and even then they were at least even.

You guys talk about Correa entering his prime and Baez being past it. They're only TWO years apart in age. That means Correa is only TWO years away from being past his prime, right? And you want to shell out $35M a year for 10-12 years for that?

We got a bargain in Baez and dodged a bullet with Correa. And Javy gets 100 more ABs a year than Carlos.

I was about to mention that Comerica is not a flyball grave yard, but I just looked up the numbers and noticed that home run factors have been way down the last two years after being about average for most of the park's history.  Is it a fluke or has something changed?

Copa is only 5 feet different than Tiger Stadium in all measurements except CF, where Tiger Stadium was 20' deeper. The claim that Copa is so huge is a MYTH.

  9. Just compare the statistics between Javy and Carlos over the last 3 full seasons.

Javy beat him in every offensive category. Batting average, home runs, run scored, runs batted in, stolen bases, on base, OPS, and anything else you can think of. And he's also a gold glove shortstop.

If that's declining, I hope every player on our team is declining. We'll win the World Series handily.

We just took our biggest weakness and made it our biggest strength. And people are whining because Ilitch didn't spend $300 million?

Goff looks much more comfortable than he did the first 6-8 weeks.

He played like he was shellshocked until the past few weeks. He wouldn't throw downfield and even hesitated on his 2-5 yard passes. Missed a few easy 4th & 1 guys who were wide open. I was at the GB game. I saw Swift open from my end zone seat at Lambeau. I yelled at him as soon as he let it go. I guess he didn't hear me 🙂

Now he's throwing downfield and doesn't seem to be nearly as scared of making a mistake. And it has blossomed with Campbell taking over the play calling and especially picking up Reynolds. We should've picked up Reynolds at the beginning of the season.

Probably would have won this one with Goff.

Wow, does that ever sound odd, but it's probably true at this point.

That was a horrible INT. A high school QB will know not to force a throw on 1st down. Throw it away and you've got three more tries.
