    The guy really is stupid. All he has to do is Google the big confusing words;

Of course his advisors are not going to step in and correct his use of the wrong word. For God’s sake, he’s buying them ****ty Florsheim shoes that are two sizes too big and making them wear it …. because he likes them. And they wear them.

The stupidity and the cowardice is mind blowing. But here we are.

Alzheimer’s and dementia is tough to see.  My grandfather had it onset quickly.  My grandmother, mother, and myself were with him in the hospital one day, and he was ina good mood, but still confused.  You probably know mood swings can occur easily, and can be night and day.  Anyway, he briefly gained awareness for several minutes.  He realized who we were and talked to us by name.  Then he also realized he was in a hospital bed, somewhat restrained, and knew it wasn’t a good situation.  Started weeping and was apologetic that we were there, and then drifted back into that other dimension.  I don’t know why the timing limed up for me to be fortunate enough to be there for my elders, but I guess it’s one of those things you don’t ask too many questions about.

He didn’t talk about his past too much.  He grew up in Hamtramck and moved down to Toledo.  He spoke English and Polish.  His family bootlegged, but we didn’t know too much about that.  I knew nothing of it until then.  It was explained to me (probably reluctantly) because he was reliving some of those days and events in his alternate reality.  We think he relived the time that he saw his uncle drown.  We know he relived some of the plan making for overnight transfers of booze across the line.  He’d sometimes go from English to Polish and Polish to English in his conversations.  He looked at me once and told me in a matter of fact tone that he’d seen better looking heads on turkey vultures.  And throughout all of that, the one thing that he always remembered was he wasn’t going to take any pills.

So, yeah, these diseases that take over your mind are awful.  There can be moments of good or tolerable or whatever, but it’s tough to go through for those involved.

    So difficult.  Been there.

  3. My heart is breaking.  Had to say goodbye to Sam today.  A quick, sudden health issue that couldn’t be resolved.

He was 18. I adopted him 11 years ago, and he was my dog Lucy’s partner in crime.

for now, I’ll be pet less for a couple months to give my heart time to heal. Then I’ll be looking for another one or two companions for me at the shelter.

    Goodbye, Sammy-Sammy/Buddy-buddy. 💔

  4. “… no credible evidence against him”.

    Jesus Christ.

Nothing changes. Victim statements mean nothing. Investigations not done. People paid off. Cover ups.

Nothing changes. Sexual assault victims are always at the disadvantage, and predators know this.

And RICH predators laugh in your face.

    It’s ****ing nauseating.

  5. Erika Kirk to the Air Force Academy Board?

Cannot wait to hear why this is such a wonderful selection.

I’m sure as soon as the RW talking heads give their minions their talking points, we’ll get the posts here educating us.

You honestly can’t make this **** up.

I’m of the same opinion. He’s talked for years about “we have nuclear weapons. Why can’t we use them“
He wants to ****ing use them.

  7. A short and “serious” talk (3 minutes?) from the president about the Iran action, and the four dead servicemen.

    —- segue to ——
Immediately ….. followed with smiles and chuckles, and talks about his golden curtains, and the grand ballroom being built that Melania doesn’t like the sound of the construction people

This mother****er does not give a **** about any member of the military dying. And if they’re smiling and applauding him in that room, shame on them too.

  8. Seems very much like watching empathy, logic, humanity, intelligence, & humility drip, drip, drip from every orifice of the body.

A spirituality and humanity desiccation, until all that’s left is a very ugly husk of nothingness.….. where once a human person existed.

  9. Random randomness…

1 ).  Since moving here to Delaware in October, I’ve learned how to play mahjong and canasta, am part of a book club @ my local library, joined a “meet up” group,  & enrolled in the continued adult education group @ the University of Delaware (- 3 classes). I have met quite a few people.

2 ) I am missing my friends so much. Having a hard day today. Very hard.

The Prince Andrew arrest seems like a big deal.   I heard that the OSU donor who runs Victoria Secret was testifying.   It would be nice if our media were not so bent to the will of Trump.
