NEW JERSEY -- The race for governor in the Garden State exploded on Thursday into ugly accusations of dirty tricks and alleged leaks.

As Republican Jack Ciattarelli visited voters in Hunterdon County, the National Archives admitted it had wrongfully released the military records of his opponent, Democrat Mikie Sherrill.

They revealed that the congressmember and war veteran was barred from walking in her 1994 Naval Academy graduation for failing to report classmates who had cheated on exam.

Sherrill herself was never accused of cheating.

"I support a criminal investigation into the unauthorized and illegal release of Mikie Sherrill's records," said House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries.

Jeffries blamed the Trump administration for weaponizing the documents to prop up Ciattarelli, who polls show is newly surging in popularity.

The issue I see with media news is that, somewhere along the lines, (my estimate is about 30+ years ago) reporting the day’s news - most especially on television- became slanted towards it being entertainment. Once that happened, it was off to the races, and neutrally reporting a day’s events became obsolete.

I would guess newspaper reporting was, and still is, more vigilant with keeping the slant on the “opinion” pages, but a slant was always somewhat evident.

Now, the internet reporting “news” has NEVER been anything but a crap shoot, and for at least 20 years, if you’re getting your news exclusively from the Internet, you are reading a crap actual fact versus fiction.

And back to sleepy Joe Biden‘s corrupted administration.
