did you see the attendance? Pathetic. There is money to be made by facing up to sunk costs and putting a better product on the field.
I agree but im not the one writing the check .... 90 million dollars is a lot to just eat

All thats is true, but can it really get much worst at SS than Harvy? Hell, I'd be fine with platooning both SS and 3rd base at this point just to get him off the team...his mere presence as a baseball player on this roster is like a baseball energy vampire; he's the Colin Robinson if this team, add's minimal valie at best, and drags the team's performance down on the regular.
we all now he sucks but the trump card is always going to be how much they owe him

I call oxymoron. There is no such thing as good process that produces consistency bad results. In pro sports the process can have no intrinsic value apart from its results.
I know Hinch has to make lemonade out of lemons but I hate when people blow smoke up my arse.... its ok to say this offense isnt good and we have to be better

Nobody would take Javy even if the Tigers paid all of his salary. He’s not worth the roster spot.
exactly he's the worst hitter in MLB and is owed 80+ million dollars still

Wenceel's contribution to the 8th inning shouldn't get understated. Maybe he becomes something and Meadows never does?...that's the way it goes.
it does make me wonder short of injures do we see meadows back as an everyday player this season... while the defense is great he has to have a little bit of a bat

Every week it’s the same and it’s not just an Angel and CB problem anymore.
but I thought it was only the Tigers getting bad calls ... because everyone hates them

This season is the four corners offense...waiting out young players, waiting out bad contracts...just waiting for something to happen.
I've been hearing that for 7 years ... wait til Miggy's contract is gone blah blah

Yeah, C-Mo (for example) is knocking Benetti down a notch when paired with him. C-Mo’s excited, cheese grater growl voice strikes C-Mo (and in turn, us) too early and far too often in broadcasts. It’s all I can do to hang in there with it some games (especially if we’re down several runs late in a game — I’ll frequently throw Dan Dickerson on then). Anymore, I occasionally will find myself growling at the tv set every few minutes — it’s my way of coping, I suppose.
The endless mispronunciations, the heavy inhalations directly into the mic, the annoying “Bye-eee”s, “Mile Powers”, “You hang it, we bang it”s — these all just add to the chaos.
On a positive (?) note, at least C-Mo isn’t growling Shep’s, “Wears a crown” line this season — that appears to have died with Shep.
I hate the You hang it we bang it line ... isnt that what all good baseball teams do?

The Tigers have made the following roster moves:
• Optioned INF/OF Ryan Vilade to Triple A Toledo
• Placed RHP Shelby Miller on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to May 12, with ulnar nerve inflammation
• Recalled RHP's Beau Brieske and Matt Manning from Triple A Toledo

Sixto Sanchez...
in HS we had a team party before the playoffs and the Tigers were playing the White Sox. This was spring 1990. The starter for the Sox was Melido Perez. A coach says to me as we're eating pizza... "You tell me a guy named Melido Perez doesn't smoke cocaine"
did you say " I dont know a guy named Keith Hernandez does"

The never ending cycle continues. Not picking high enough to get good. Not good enough to get out of thr lottery.
I want to like and follow them but they are stuck in this cycle they never seem to get better I mean come on the Hawks won 22 games more then the Piston they need to weight the odds better
