Yeah, about 5:30. My driveway is dry, I'm sure a well maintained baseball field has excellent drainage. This game was called too early. They didn't even try to play...

unless your at the park you dont know what the weater is like... Living in Northern Michigan i dont know how many times theres been a foot a snow five miles away and like an inch or two at my house

Will the Tigers do the right thing and just call this already or will the sucker a few hundred into coming in and spending money on food & beverage?

if your dumb enough to go to a game in a rain storm  then you deserve what you get.... its not like there isnt a million ways to get the weather

I don’t think ‘must win’ is hyperbole at this point. This team is on its heels right now.
We looked at this series as a possible road trip a while back. Concerns about the temperatures there in early April and such a short turnaround in travel persuaded us to skip this one.
Barring a Casey Mize no-hitter today, no regrets.

I guess it depends on what you expected this season? if you see this as another development season there is no such thing as a must win game

And he hit 31 HRs, batted .233, had a .758 OPS and struck out 171 times. I get it, it was his first full season in the bigs and he's not exactly surrounded by talented hitters. So he deserves times and patience for sure. But those numbers, they are Rob Deer-esque to me. Strike out or hit a home run with too few balls in play in between.

over 1100 plate apperances and this is his third season at what point is he what he is?

Torkelson reminds me of Bob Horner. Both guys were drafted out of Arizona State. Horner knew how to frustrate Braves fans and Torkelson is currently frustrating Tigers fans. Horner would often have 3 or 4 doubles in a game and proceed to have 5 strikeouts the next night. Torkelson does basically the same thing. It's only a matter of time before Torkelson begins to gain weight and end up playing in Japan.

Horner hit .277 for his career Torkelson should be so lucky

Meadows needs to work on some things and Toledo's the spot to do it - just for now.

If it was Baez going on the IL, wouldn't they be calling up an infielder?

kriedler and Leonard went down with injuries ... Perez playes many positions that allows Vierling to play 3rd and Gio and McKinstry to play SS, AJ likes his options

I don't think changing the composition of the ball is necessarily a de facto confession to all prior accusations of doctoring the ball. But they defintiely do admit doing it in 1920 gto make the ball livelier, and I think they could admit it this time as a once-in-a-century sea change, as that was.

The debate is all hypothetical, of course, because ain't no way they're gonna change it. The economic incentives to maintain the status quo of massive homers, wipeout strikeouts, and next-man-up pitching staffs are too compelling to give up.

Im betting its banning the sticky stuff they have to squeeze harder

If this one holds, the Tigers record vs. the A's since 2015 is   14-42.     A .250 winning Pct.     I think the only time they had a winning record in one season was 2016 at 4-3.    What the hell is it.   Are they afraid of teams with green uniforms or something.

the Angels always beat us up too I think its just a west coast night game thing

This only reinforces my concerns. I know it's early and that I  am not a keen evaluator but he does not inspire any confidence when he comes to bat. I have never really liked him for no reason I can articulate other than not meeting expectations for a 1-1 and his poor defense. I also find it somewhat irritating that he presents himself as the face of the franchise and is always the most quoted player in the paper, on TV and during promotions like addressing the crowd on opening day and at the Wings game. It's like he is just so happy to on the team he is unaware of the role he needs to play for us to succeed. I am hoping and rooting hard but my money is on a new first baseman once his arb salaries start to rise. First baseman are just too easy to obtain and rarely are drafted so high for the same reason. Hope I am wrong.

I know what you mean he act like hes already star
