But the first film came out in 1984 and that’s the time most clearly etched in memory. The second film came out in July 1987 and from what I can tell was filmed in Fort Lauderdale, but my friends were extras in the one filmed in Tucson. I can’t remember if I saw the film with them or not, but I was amazed they made the cut and they were truly an awkward trio and they were just being themselves. Quote

I knew the first one was filmed at Arizona in Tuscon, subbing for Adams College. The movie is not streaming anywhere... and I don't have my worn old VHS copy from the 80's I taped off HBO or Showtime. Quote

roarintiger1 Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Chet Lemon was 1/4 of that great defense up the middle for the 1984 Tigers. He was fun to watch and seemingly loved to play the game. It was hard to see him at the 40th reunion with his health struggles. I'm glad he is no longer suffering and we are all better Tiger fans for those of us who saw him play. BTW, I sat in the bleachers for a doubleheader back in the day. Those seats were hard on the behind. But I think we paid like $4 to sit there. What a bargain! There used to be a guy out there every game leading the cheers. Anyone remember him? Quote
