I guess they had 120 overtakes last night. Highest of any race last year was 60.

Nobody even mentioned the biggest news from down under.  Kim was not at the track.

Today marks the 500th day since Ferrari's last GP win.  It was Sainz in Mexico.

It will happen very soon.  The car is fast and can challenge Mercedes.

Ferrari has the upside down wing in China. I guess they call it the Macarena wing, for some reason.

Curious to see if the new cars improve the sprint at all.  They are usually over after the first corner or two.

Sounds like they are about to cancel Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and will go with 22 races this season.

So the Japan race is on March 29th.  Then it will skip to May 3rd for Miami and then May 24th in Canada.  They are going to have one race in 2 months during the season?  That is not ideal.

Not even 10 laps in and I think we got our answer.   Wow this is intense racing.

It’s not ideal but making chicken salad, it should allow all the teams much needed time to dial in their cars and updates.   The two races of data will be huge.

We’ve got 3 well defined tiers and I’m not sure they will change.

Championship

Merc, Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull

Midfield

Alpine, Haas, Audi, Racing Bulls, 

The Suck

Aston, Williams, Cadillac

The time should help Aston and Williams the most.   I am interested to see how/if McLaren and Red Bull can use this time to improve.

The Ferrari's are rocket ships at the start. 

Four cars did not start the race, including both McLaren's.

Red Bull is the opposite of Ferrari on the start. I bet 7 or 8 cars passed Max on the start.

Oscar and I have completed the same amount of laps so far this season.

It’s unreal how McLareb have fallen off.  

The racing in these new cars is off the charts.  F1 has got what they wanted.   Great back and forth racing.  So much for the narrative that these cars are so easy to drive that anyone off the street could do it.   It’s just the opposite and has brought out the racer in all of these guys.  

Excited to see if the tables turn in Suzuka where being better in the corners should give Ferrari a leg up on Merc.

Side note:  I chose to go the Race in 30 minute route for this one on Apple TV.  A big thumbs up.
