Hongbit Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Another baffing move by Tuchel. This is a bs game that nobody is trying and nobody cares about and he’s actually trying to make changes to win it. What a complete idiot. Quote

That's insane in retrospect. 1 Quote

buddha Posted July 18 Posted July 18 do you think bringing on anderson and bellingham meant the teams were playing hard for 90 minutes? it was an exhibition game. it was what it was. Quote
GalagaGuy Posted July 19 Author Posted July 19 What the hell is this halftime show? Madonna, Muppets, Boy Bands.......... Quote
DTroppens Posted July 19 Posted July 19 The World Cup that just keeps producing awesome games. How Argentina survived the first 90 was pretty amazing. Quote
DTroppens Posted July 19 Posted July 19 35 minutes ago, buddha said: yawn. argentina with a 0.0 xg with 66 minutes gone. That cross late in the second half must have given them at least .1 for the first 90. But they've done nothing offensively. Quote
buddha Posted July 19 Posted July 19 spain deserve to lose for their horrible finishing. its the only weakness on the team: no true #9. Quote

DTroppens Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Great ending to a great World Cup. Spain clearly deserved that victory. But it was a thriller to the final seconds. Quote
DTroppens Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Spain was the rightful winner. Did Messi have a shot? Was he even on the pitch? Wasn't Spain the team that held Argentina to no shots and maybe one dangerous cross the first 90 mins? Spain held possession how much of that game? How much in Argentina's side of the field? And when it mattered, Spain scored. I'd give the point more merit if it went to a shootout and Spain lost then. But they had 120 mins with that defense to score and they did. Quote
buddha Posted July 19 Posted July 19 so glad argentina lost. with all their flopping, cheating, whining, and all the var calls they got to make sure messi won. but you cant score without the ball. ask anyone who played spain. Quote

Hongbit Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Now that Messi is done there’s no reason to like anything about the Argies. They play a cheap and dirty style and constantly whine and complain whenever they can. They can take their bad tattoos and drift off into history hopefully to not be heard from for a few decades. Would love for them to become the next Italy. Quote

Concur. Argentina with the Falklands banner showed just how self-indulgent and entitled those pricks were. Wish Bellingham and company had played in that game but alas. Quote

Would love for them to become the next Italy. messi sullied himself by trying to get cuccarella sent off for covering hia mouth. same ol **** argentina have been doing for a long time. there have been 6 red cards in world cup finals, 3 of them to argentina. its not just them. lots of teams get frustrated by spain. not every team acts like little babies like argentina did. all they did this tournament was be bad losers and bad winners. 1) we'll see if messi actually retires. he has "retired" from international duty multiple times before. 2) if he does, it may not be that bad. argentina has a lot of talented players, and if they dont revolve the entire team around an old man who no longer runs (albeit, a very talented man who no longer runs), they may actually be better off. they destroyed brazil 4-1 in qualifying without messi in a game that could have easily been 7 or 8 to 1. if they ever get over the national chip on their shoulder and actually play football, they can be really good.
