No doubt. This is still early days when he's trying to do it without another star next to him. It won't be long before that changes.

the only thing that will hold him back is health.  big guys like that dont usually last long.

is this your first time watching soccer?

this wc is not even that bad compared to what it usually is.

Pretty much.   I don't recall really watching any other long stretches of it.

Maxey, VJ, Brown, toss Wade in there, probably.  That is a nice 4-man group.  It's the 5th guy that brings it all crashing back down to reality.

He just needs a grease zerk on his knee.

Wow the landscape of the East is turned on its ear. Washington could be tough, Atlanta, Orlando, Philly, and of course NY and Boston. Detroit could take a step back. Still hoping for Murphy

are we still a top 6 team in the east?  have the pistons become a play in team?

They are still the only try hard team in the conference.  So I could still see them finishing with a high seed but everyone picking them 4th-6th to win the conference when the playoffs start.

the only other team that didnt get any better was arguably boston.

you can make an argument that toronto, indiana, philly, new york, miami, and cleveland are better than detroit.

orlando might be too of theyre healthy.

yes, detroit is a try hard team, but they just lost the biggest try hard player on the team.  we better hope to see some real improvement from ausar and duren.

Cleveland and NYK were both better than Detroit this year and finished quite a bit back from Detroit.  Toronto and Philly have players they have to baby to keep healthy for the playoffs.  I would be shocked if either one of them finished ahead of Detroit.  Indiana might finish ahead of Detroit but I'm not real sure about Miami right now.

I would say Detroit finishes top 4 pretty easy, probably top 2.  I do not think they are one of the two best teams though, not even sure they are top 4 if every other team is healthy when the playoffs start.

i dont think they beat orlando last year if franz doesnt get "injured" and miss the last two games.

i bet they dont win more than 50 games.

People are saying they still have the MLE to spend.  I thought they were done, but maybe not.  Still holding out for a trade as well.  So we'll see.

They might be better now to keep their powder dry and wait to see what big swing(s) fail.   Try to get a bargain in season.

They need another PF.

Assuming that Duren is back, they only have Collins, Duren, and Reed as rotational PF/C. I'm not expecting much from Smith.

with the caveat of "you never know," it seems like duren's market is down to sacramento, who cant do anything other than a sign and trade.

would the pistons tell sactown to beat the kessler deal?  give me 3 unprotected firsts and i'll think about it?  and if we have to take sabonis, make it 4.

Have we read even a single report that Sacramento has engaged Detroit in trade talks?  So far it's only been meetings with Duren himself.
