Deleterious Posted July 5 Author Posted July 5 I have watched 3 games of the FIBA World Cup qualifying. Canada which has SGA playing. The Bahamas which has VJ and Buddy Hield playing. Then the US, which is headed up by, Jay Huff? This is the Team USA roster Pedro Bradshaw, Izaiah Brockington, Torrey Craig, Jacob Gilyard, Dewan Hernandez, Jay Huff, Mike James, Orlando Robinson, Matt Ryan, Terry Taylor, Jarrod Uthoff and Gabe York. Deleterious Posted July 5 Author Posted July 5 Summer league started a few days ago and there have already been some big performances. Hard to get excited about anything though. Ron Holland looked like a start in last years SL and look how his season went. Great on defense, but totally lost on offense. Two things I did notice though. The Memphis SL roster is basically their NBA roster minus 4 or 5 guys. Boozer looks like he lost quite a bit of weight. I would guess 15 pounds at least. Quote
Deleterious Posted July 6 Author Posted July 6 We got one! Would be a bit shocking to see GSW match that. 3/$30 million is pretty high for him IMO. Quote

Deleterious Posted July 7 Author Posted July 7 Ooof. I suppose they don't have much of a choice, but that extension could get ugly really fast. Quote
Deleterious Posted July 7 Author Posted July 7 It's only summer league, but Utah fans must be getting pretty good right now. Peterson looks legit. Just have to hope he figured out the cramping issues. Quote

Deleterious Posted July 7 Author Posted July 7 I don't care where Lebron ends up. But Minnesota would probably be my choice if I got to pick. It would be fun watching Lebron having to deal with Melo shooting a 40-foot three pointer off of one foot with 18 seconds left on the clock. 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted July 7 Author Posted July 7 Last year is a player option, so he probably never gets there. In 4 years he will be 33 and can maybe get one more large payday. If nobody is willing to pay him at that age, he just opts in and has to find a way to survive on $75 million for a seasons worth of work. Quote
Deleterious Posted July 7 Author Posted July 7 Wemby is eligible for a max extension. I wonder if they give it to him... Quote
Deleterious Posted July 7 Author Posted July 7 Victor will have incentive to play the minimum games to qualify for postseason awards. Top # is his normal 5 year extension. Bottom is if he wins DPOY or makes all NBA again this year. $252,300,000 $302,760,000 Quote
Deleterious Posted July 7 Author Posted July 7 Shams should go into politics the way he spins things. I would have written that as, Lakers sign guy who lost time to DeAndre Jordan in New Orleans. Quote
Deleterious Posted July 8 Author Posted July 8 Tim Sr had a change of heart and will let Tim Jr wear #10. I guess he took a lot of heat for originally saying no. Quote

More from hearing teammates saying they are worried about him, and seeing a change in his affect and demeanor during interviews post being cut by Chicago. And part of it is a clinician's instinct. I say that as a licensed mental health professional of 37 years who happens to be a Christian. Quote
Deleterious Posted July 9 Author Posted July 9 Denver is in a rough spot. 5 spots to fill and $7 million from the 2nd apron? Which means they are already in the luxury tax. Bobby Marks was on a podcast recently. He said if they waive Valancunas and signed Peyton Watson to a $25 million a year contract, his deal would cost them an extra $177 million in luxury tax penalties this year. Just his deal, that doesn't count the other 4 spots they have to fill. Quote
