I was at a high school football game. It’s that time of the season. Attendance was announced, and let’s just say it was a bus load short of 10 K, an all time record for the school. I had a vested interest to be there as my kid was a participant. Sadly the home team lost, but damn, what a fun environment to be in. We had to stand for the entirety of the game, and our SRO in the corner of the end zone was 5 folks deep. A regular season game, albeit homecoming, and for all intents and purposes it was for control of the league crown with a few weeks to go. A perfect fall evening for a football game.
