The Leafs have done Carolina a huge favor. Their lack of playoff success has somewhat distracted the media from the fact that Carolina has lost 13 straight conference finals games.

Hey! The Leafs have been so irrelevant this year I didn't even notice this happening. But honestly, since it has been coming for weeks instead of a brutally quick yanking out of the Leafs' fans hearts, and with the Wings floundering, it's not the big cause for celebration like in past years.
