  1. I'm not sure I like being ranked a rookie again... Apparently I need 14 more points to reach the next level, whatever that may be. Help a guy out and LIKE this post (and my others please)!
  2. I believe Tropicana Field was built specifically to try and lure a baseball team to the area, with the White Sox and Giants the targets at that time. The stadium was used for other sports (it was the early home for the Lightening), but that was primarily because it wasn’t being used much until the Rays came along. I don’t believe multipurpose was the idea behind it, but may be wrong.
  3. These forums were developed to go with my other websites… MotownTigers, MotownLions, MotownRedWings, and MotownPistons. It also provides an alternate place to post in the event that our original forum (MotownSports) has issues. I no longer own or operate that site/forum. That site was sold in June 2020.
  4. I’ve been to both… I can give the Homerdome a pass since it was a multi-purpose stadium. Tropicana is baseball only and still fails.
  5. Nope, a very generous business, but one that obviously doesn’t pay as much attention to it as they should.
  6. Ugh, extra innings again… as long as we win, I can deal with it.
  7. Yep, got out of the bases load jam. 🙂
  8. More people popping up as members today. Nice to see you all here!
  9. I'm good with that. I have no issues if this is done away from the MotownSports.com site. Feel free to tell people about this forum otherwise! :)
  10. I don't have any issue with that, I just wouldn't push for it on MotownSports.com out of respect. However, that isn't much of an issue today since that forum isn't working. If people want to tell others behind the scene, I good with that.
  11. Yeah, not thinking this game will turn out good for the Lions... With the Packers getting blown out last weekend, they will have a lot to prove this week at home (at the Lions expense). As a lifetime Lions fan and Packers shareholder, I make out fine either way! 37-10 I'm predicting...
  12. That's still a reachable goal at this point. Tigers schedule is still tough, but they've been finding ways to win despite the tough teams. If they make it through this weekend with no worse than a split, we have a good shot at second.
  13. Caldwell inherited the best defense of the 4 HCs, so it's not too surprising he did okay in his first game. What blows my mind is that Patricia was "supposed" to be a defensive wiz and he not only coached a poor defense, but he left it in shambles for the next guy.
  14. Yes, probably unlikely they hit .500 this year with the remaining schedule as it is. However, they have played much better than I believe most expected, so we should be pleased. Take away April and they were a pretty good team this season. Future looks bright!
  15. I'm with you on that one! I wonder if at any point there was serious consideration to trade the pick, or was Cade the choice all along, assuming no red flags were found.
  16. I'm with Red... I think he may fall a couple hits short this year. Would be happy to see him get both milestones done in 2021, but it gives fans something to look forward to next April if he falls short of 3000 this season.
  17. Funny! You had me wondering where this was going for a bit there!
  18. No they do not... I had much higher hopes for what they might do with the site, but for the most part they have put little into it and do not seem to watch over it very well. I believe they have downgraded their hosting resources a bit ($ savings), which means potentially more problems when the site requires more resources to run then are available.
  19. Who do you think the Red Wings will draft with the sixth pick in the 2021 NHL draft?
  20. What do you think the Pistons will do with the number one pick? Will they keep it and draft someone (if so, who will they take), or will they trade it for additional assests?
