I only remember that campaign because there was a rather attractive young lady who sat between home and the 1B dugout in Chicago and was always on-camera wearing that shirt when the camera would focus on the LHB between pitches. she stopped showing up when he left the Sox.

I remember in the early 2010s or so that there was a campaign to get AJ into the all-star game with the slogan "punch out AJ" (or maybe "punch out Pierzynski"). obvious double meaning there.

I'm fairly certain Dickerson was talking about it earlier this season, and he seemed to be saying that it was actually a net positive for the Tigers. I don't remember how he said that was measured. just for whatever it's worth (which may be very little).
