Not to downplay the effects of railway incidents or defend the rail industry (esp NS) but I would be curious about the number of incidences of over the road truck traffic similar to rail. Between truck fires, wrecks and things like trailers that seem to far apart, one would think the amount of people affected might be similar. Especially in tank trucks.

Scott Harris was hired in September. We probably agree the front office and a lot of the organization needs overhauling. That seems to be his top priority anyway. Your favorite player (or your biggest gripe isn't going away unless he opts out at the end of the season) What "big names" did you realistically expect to sign in the off-season? Who would you use for trade bait to get what you consider trade bait. And a few trade targets that Harris should have pursued, and do we know whether he did or not? I'm get it you're not thrilled with the current team. I came into Tiger World full time with the 2001 club. DD didn't build the 2006-2012 teams over night....I'm willing to give Harris a couple of seasons.

It also gives Trump the opening he needs to run against DeSantis as the outsider. Labeling DeSantis and Haley as establishment Republicans..

From JVL in today's Bullwerk... If Ron DeSantis’s governorship has been good for Florida, then why didn’t Jeb pass a “Don’t Say Gay” bill when he was governor? Why didn’t Jeb take over the New College of Florida to push a conservative agenda? Why didn’t Jeb offer a bill to outlaw the teaching of “theories” in undergraduate courses? Why didn’t Jeb spend taxpayer money to ship refugees to Martha’s Vineyard? Why didn’t Jeb move to take away Disney’s special zoning arrangement? Why didn’t Jeb appoint a vaccine skeptic as his state surgeon general? After all, if these are good policies for the people of Florida, Governor Bush had the opportunity to enact them himself. Why didn’t he? Jeb's governorship was so radically different from DeSantis’s that there are only really three possibilities here: (a) Jeb contemporaneously viewed his own record in office as a failure. (b) Jeb once viewed his record as successful, but has since repudiated that view of his policies. Or (c) Jeb does not actually mean it when he now says he believes that DeSantis is a good governor who has made Florida a model for the rest of the country.

Sheesh....

This will actually happen when the folks currently pushing for it can find a way to monetize it....

A look at the future if he's the nominee...

I had some of my best naps in the '70s when the Game of the Week was on. It was the best way to enjoy a game. Watch the first couple of innings, doze until the 7th or 8th and wake up for the end. If something important happened the tone of the announcers or change in crowd noise roused you enough to pay closer attention.

I get where you're coming from but Adams has had a 30 year run recycling the same half dozen or so jokes. I've read he's worth $75 mil so I don't expect any need for tag sales. His 60 minutes were up a long time ago, he isn't selling any newspapers or making meaningful contributions to improve society. Time to let him stew in his own juices.

How to sporting event prices compare with places like Disney World or even Cedar Point? Where you can spend a mortgage payment to wait i line all day (unless you pay extra). Not to mention exorbitant parking prices. Or even at afternoon at Greenfield Village where the "exhibits" seem to be placed willy nilly through out the park?

One of my takeaways was about his first BYU coach Bronco Mendenhall, who left BYU for UVa a school that has a reputation of being a "party school". I wondered why he walked away after several successful seasons. It makes sense now.
