Google maps shows part of the remaining right field wall from Forbes Field about a 15 minute walk from CM. I think home plate is at the entrance to Pitt Law School.

You two need to get a room

Since most of our travel tends to be off season, I've had the luck of being in a MLB town when there's no one there. I've enjoyed walking around the Giants' Park in SF and Coors in Denver. We've done a couple of trips to Camden Yards in the last several years, I think it's a nice park to watch a game, especially in the upper level. Same with Petco(?) in San Diego. I liked the location, walking distance from our hotel on the river. I really need to get to a few minor league games near here. Norfolk, Richmond, Fredericksburg and Salem, possibly Lynchburg. The first three are within two hours, just need the motivation.

Pittsburgh has changed a lot from when I was very young living near there. They made the successful transition from a mill town to banking and medicine. My wife has a conference there in September, I'm looking forward to spending some more time there then

I was reading an article somewhere recently about what would be involved in jailing Trump. Security and what to do about Secret Service protection in a minimum security prison or Club Fed as we used to call it. Just wondering if there are servants quarters at Mar A Largo. Or confine him to a servants room in the Trump Tower. Better yet a trailer near his wife's grave in NJ

BTW the snarky side of me wonders why MAGAs get their Depends in a wad when folks like Taylor Swift (who hasn’t endorsed anyone) speaks out yet find themselves strangely quiet when over the hill, perverted actors do the same https://x.com/pabloreports/status/1782494487966585050?s=46&t=Hkcls71g8OYK4gqVoqRrnw

I thought Mich approved mail in absentee ballots a few years ago. Maybe just for us old geezers

Mail in and absentee ballots are now acceptable in MAGA Land?

There's a new Steve Martin documentary on Apple. I haven't watched it yet but there is a part where he talks about John Candy and TPA Here's the script from the cut scene...

The first pictures of the actual sign were before any secondary work they did on it. I see they've added a small fence and some lighting. It's the process, as usual most people don't understand

As far as I can tell he’s always been a self promoter. I also remember in the mid to late 90s when every city wanted a casino Trump was front and center in places like Chicago (actually Gary,IN) making pitches. He promoted himself as the biggest, smartest, business man. Then when his fame waned he got in bed with Mark Burnett for his “Reality” show that got very good ratings for a while. It worked, America has always had a soft spot for hucksters. He was the next Pat Robertson

Remind me does the party that worships The Former Guy still value themselves as the party of family values. We know they value the unborn so they can use them as unpaid (or vastly unpaid) labor

Meanwhile the entire Kennedy Clan is endorsing Biden...

I don't disagree but I still see rail as a viable alternative for short distance travel in some aspects. I'd never take Amtrak to Detroit for instance due to time and somewhat cost. At the same time flying is more efficient time wise, the cost can be close to prohibitive in terms of add ons. Parking or other airport transportation, rental cars at DTW, etc. Not to mention flying these days seems akin to traveling by Trailways or Greyhound in terms of the overall personalities of fellow travelers. I can go from Richmond to DC in about two hours, cheaper parking at the train station that you would find anywhere in the district and little or no issues with traffic. I feel the same way about DET to Chicago, except it might be a bit quicker to drive but the parking rates and having to deal with Chicago traffic would probably negate that for me. Now if I can just find a way to get to Durham on demand in less than 2 hours
