    The ceremony involving the commonwealth forces is impressive to me. This reflecton of the good parts of the Empire has always been a testament to Queen Elizabeth and Winston Churchill's will to make a positive of the end of the Colonial era. And on balance it is.

    I think this is the bin we would normally put UK politics in...its amazing to me to see so little activity over the coronation of KC3. Probably for the best. I had a lot of respect for Queen Elizabeth but Charles was always a compromised figure.

    I did a diorama on Missouri in elementary school. I think I was excited they had multiple MLB teams. I was too young to remember 1968 (was born in 1967) so the sting of that wasn't so painful. 2006 alas...i felt/feel.

    Looking good Ann Arbor and really looking good Traverse City. Probably has something to do with the quality of medical care in A2 and the degree to which Traverse City is one of those destination retirement areas for people with a little bit of cash and some sense. Meanwhile Wisconsin and Minnesota look really good in comparison.
