  1. This creature that Putin has built…crazy that these people are even within spitting distance of power.
  2. we had a category for best car "theme." The art professor dads nailed that one. My best entry in that was recreating the scene from Jaws where Sheriff Brody is on top of the mast of the Orca shooting at the great white who is eating Quint: all done in lego minifigures. The M1 rifle was supplied by Brick Arms. Unfortunately, the mast of the Orca had to be removed in order to race because on our track part of the electronic timing was a wire that hung over the track. And when I say "my best entry", yes this was leaders getting to build and race their own cars against other leaders. My son's went for speed and it was considered uncool for leaders to do that so we went for LOLs. There were a lot of really nerdy cars.
  3. and then being hunted by scout dads
  4. Important but having even 4 wheel contact and weight centered on rear axle up to the limit allowed is also huge.
  5. I'm gaining optimism for this team if they can go into New Jersey and steal a road win.
  6. So, depending on where you lived...this could be quite an accomplishment. In the Detroit area where all the dads are auto engineers or mechanical professionals or in some other way very plugged into things with 4 wheels this was hard to win when your dad was a CPA. So, then I moved to northern Virginia and all the dads in Chantilly, VA work at NRO and are rocket scientists and celestial mechanics. Still a lot of fun. I think we did 2nd and 3rd place a couple years in our pack. Later on when my daughter's girl scout group (what is the unit name for GS?) had a pinewood derby i used my knowledge from the boy's time in scouts and her car won. The secret: mount the wheels carefully and keep all 4 wheels on the track and don't let anyone remove the wheels between leaving the house and race time.
  7. And have participated in satanic tantric sex rituals.
  8. Apologies to others who have had divorces but MTG is a quitter if she wants to have a divorce. She should stand by her man.
  9. The rest of the thread was just dissonant. If you look for satanism everywhere you'll find it everywhere.
  10. Presume this person can vote. Jeeeshs
  11. The levels of convoluted conspiracy being promoted by Russia on this in particular is pretty nutso.
  12. Remember this, the next time you are choosing which French hypermart to shop at
  13. welp...its being projected so...clearly
  14. Ukraine seizing that territory doesn't involve a current NATO member attacking "Russia" Which admittedly, in my Poland-takes-Kalinigrad-example, I tore up that exception.
  15. Russian twitter is putting out there a story about Ukraine seizing Transnistria in order to demilitarize it. On balance, even though this originates from Russian fever swamps, I can't see an argument against it. Seize it and bring the UN in but in the process take all the ammo dumps that have been sitting there for all these years (apparently). Now, this may be jive like the constant tweet I see about the Lions trading their entire draft + Goff to Baltimore for Lamar Jackson which appears to have originated in hell. Still, food for thought. Why does Russia get to keep that? Why shouldn't Moldova ask for Ukraine to liberate that territory? Then maybe Poland can liberate Kalinigrad.
  16. None of this is of any consequence.
  17. As a veteran with his military ID from the MIANG in 1991-94 or so, I enjoyed going to games for free in the Lower deck in RF. That's a weird seat. I saw 75-85% of a bunch of home runs.
  18. If this means that members of congress from "red states" can't vote in the District of Columbia for 5 years that would be problematic.
  19. You know she thinks that red = old confederacy
  20. I think she thinks the first needs revision
  21. All GOP candidates need to defend this in the debates both in the primaries and in the general election. This specifically is all theirs to own.
  22. We are not far off from him attending a major sporting event in the private box of Vladdie
  23. Its the simplest explanation for bad actions. The debt incurred to buy Twitter at $44B was leveraged by several bad actors.
  24. There was a program in the 50s and 60s that was supposed to expedite citizenship for recent Eastern European immigrants who had spent time behind the iron curtain and who had volunteered to serve in the US Army. I guess there was a subjective element to it which might have given commanding officers too much power over who got citizenship and those who ran afoul of the boss would be slow rolled.
