Horrible time for penalty for flipping puck over glass. 1:30 of regulation to kill off

This game has been dominated by Detroit since early in the 2nd but Ottawa has come on the past few minutes. Now the Wings take a too many on the ice penalty at a bad time, 5 minutes left in tie game.

Wings face a 5 on 3 for 1:11 early in 3rd.

There must be more damaging info. Because it it was just a case of Michigan maybe not getting the injunction, would have been better to take chances in court. If Michigan had accepted a 2-game suspension, that could have been spun as both sides compromising. Michigan agrees to meaningful suspension but still has coach for the Game. Instead, for whatever reason Michigan became willing to accept defeat on this.

Believe it or not, Billy was not the first Heisman-winning running back from the University of Oklahoma to be drafted by the Lions and rush for a 1,000 yard season before injuries shortened his career. Steve Owens a decade earlier. There was a memorable swipe of a Gatorade table too at some point. Can't believe he only played 5 seasons with the Lions for a 60-game NFL career. When you're young, it feels so much longer.

Would be nice to see the Lions smartly take care of business against the Bears in the afternoon, and then sit back and see whether Denver can carry this momentum back home against the Vikings in prime time.
