Not that the Tigers would care, we're not talking a lot of people, but I'm sure the TIgers-Jays and Leafs-Wings split in my hometown of Sarnia is much more skewed towards the Toronto teams these days than when I was growing up. My childhood house was 60 miles from Michigan & Trumbull. Border crossing was a piece of cake, asked for a driver's license at most and never a line more than 10 minutes. WJR came booming in day or night. A few dozen games on TV - WDIV or Channel 50 or Channel 20 - plus national games was enough to tide us over. Remaining a Detroit sports fan these days is simper than ever, even out here in Vancouver, thanks to radio apps and season pay telecast options. But becoming a Detroit sports fan in Vancouver? Requires an investment most won't make.
