It makes no sense. If the concern was that the Raiders would call time out to kick a Fg, it wouldn’t matter if they tried the kick with 35s to go or 1s to go. If he makes it, game is over anyways, the time doesn’t mean anything to you.

Seriously, what was the Chrshers coach thinking? Raiders would not have tried a 57 yard FG attempt.
