  1. Under that (unlikely) scenario, Michigan would be no worse than #3 in the committee rankings and absolutely worthy. Home win over Ohio St, road wins over Wisconsin and Penn St, only loss being by 4 points on road to top 10 MSU. That resume can’t be beat by Big 12, by Oregon, by Cincy, by Notre Dame.
  2. A lot of déjà vu with the MSU game. QB fumble turned into a FG, Michigan trails 17-14 with just under 6 minutes to go.
  3. Penn State converts three 4th downs and a 2 point conversion to tie game 14-14. Same team that couldn’t do anything in 9 OTs a few weeks ago.
  4. Wings killed the long 5 on 3.
  5. Life imitates a Norm MacDonald joke a
  6. Nice, that helps a bit. I’m really anxious to see the Wings live, with Raymond, Seider and Ned. Don’t think I’m going home to Sarnia for Christmas though so probably must wait until they are here in March. Maybe go see their game against the Kraken too.
  7. Nedeljkovic came 3rd in Calder last year, surely he isn’t considered a rookie again, is he?
  8. I think it's a toss-up between the Tigers and Wings as to who will make the playoffs next, but I'd still lean towards the Tigers. My prediction on that will be impacted on how the Tigers' off-season goes. I'm hoping the Tigers contend for a spot in 2022, while I don't think the Wings will truly contend until 2022-23. Can the Wings stay in the playoff race this year until at least the Olympic break? Quite possibly. 8 teams in their division. Top 3 make it automatically. No reason the Wings can't finish above Buffalo, Montreal and Ottawa over the course of an 82-game season. But on the other hand, I think the Wings are still well behind Florida, Tampa, Boston and Toronto and wouldn't expect them to come within 10-15 points of even one of those teams this season. So the other route is to win one of the 2 wildcards, which means they would have to allow only the top 3 Metro teams to finish ahead of them. I think Carolina and Washington are a lock for two of the Metro top 3 spots. No reason the Wings can't finish ahead of New Jersey or Columbus. So that means only one of these four teams can finish ahead of the Wings for the Wings to make the playoffs: Pittsburgh, NYI, NY Rangers, Philly. I still think that's a stretch to expect the Wings to finish ahead of 3 of those 4 teams. But ask again at the 30-game mark.
  9. Look at the 2:30ish mark. That's a pretty impressive one-handed flick by Erne.
  10. It's still early and the Wings have played several more games than some teams, but 1/6 of the way through the Red Wings' schedule I like the company they're keeping
  11. Scary “power play” by the Wings right now.
  12. This has been one of the better games of the year. Let’s hope the 3rd doesn’t turn into a repeat of the Tampa season opener. 3-2 already, 28 seconds into 3rd.
  13. Well that was an unfortunate turn. Wings looked to be threatening to go up 4-0 but instead Edmonton has life.
  14. Namestikov now has 7 goals on the year.
  15. I know it is still only the 1st period, but if the Wings tonight does that prove Kenny sucks?
  16. Canadians are allowed to cross the Ambassador or Bluewater bridges to attend the game. Canadian govt requires $150 PCR test to get back It o country so that will deter almost all from popping over just for the game.
  17. Everyone probably has seen by now this goal by McDavid from the other night.
  18. Sorry, I will try to delete mine. We must have posted at almost same time.
  19. Up close and personal.
  20. Player stats about 1/6 of the way through the season.
