    A lot of talk this summer as to which team in the Atlantic is most improved - Buffalo, Ottawa or Detroit. Only one game, in Buffalo, but Sabres clearly outplayed the Wings most of tonight. 6-3 now.

    Wings fight back to 4-3, but nearing the end of a penalty kill Ned lets in a softie through the legs. Backbreaker.

    Apart from the 4-2-2 record, I don’t feel great about the team right now. Missing Vrana and Bertuzzi is a big hole to fill - only Larkin and Kubalik have more than 5 points.

    Leafs lose 4th straight. 4-4-2 on year. First three losses on this streak were in regulation, tonight was in OT. But this one might have been worse because it was to lowly Anaheim after leading 3-1 midway through 3rd. Knives are out for coach Keefe, and to a some lesser extent, GM Dubas.
