But the book says Lange has to go in the 9th. That's what it says. -
AAA pitching isn't where I'm looking for future gains. AAA is a storage shed for pitchers you might need in a pinch, AA and lower is where you look to the future and it's not so bad. Someone could win the ALC with 80-83 wins in 2024 probably. I don't think the Twins are that good and with their history, they might break up the team in another year. The White Sox are the wild card. There's a ton of individual talent on that team, but the vibe is a disaster. You get the right skipper in there and they could turn it around quick. For the Tigers it's still about 2025 and beyond. You could do enough to make next year fun, but they shouldn't make any moves that hurt them for beyond next year and that might mean sitting on some rookies next year that underperform like Tork did last year. What I am hoping for is that the 2025 Tigers are like last year's Orioles - where you see it's coming and now they look like they'll be a very good team for awhile (though I trust their owner to screw it up somehow). I think that's what they are doing and I think that if they don't believe Colt Keith is ready on Opening Day, he won't be here. Same for Malloy, who is a tricky prospect because he looks like only a DH.

Don't know that we can grade him until his first draft class has 2-3 years to develop. Also, we don't know if Chris Illitch has put limitations on any kind of spending. I'll give him an A on replacing the scouting department and I'll give him an A for Comerica Park changes. The rest is wait-and-see. Feels like he botched the trade deadline, but E-Rod may have been telling him something and then backed out in the last minute. The pre-season Phillies trade is a wash. I like Vierling and don't think they'll miss Soto or Clemens at all. Maton is a total disappointment and it feels like they're kind of done with him already. The second Phillies trade is kind of a wash too. Lorenzen was only here for a year and we got another team's Top 10 prospect. Turned out better than I thought.

Start throwing long passes and running up the score on these guys if they're gonna get dirty.

it's all that kale he eats

Who is Michigan's QB2 ? Orji? I have no idea. They'll probably be in the game for the whole 4th quarter. Why risk an injury to JJ, he's obviously sharp already

Gotta have Tegrity.

I like Mike Tirico, but watching this with no announcers is fine by me. Don't know if it's intentional or tech difficulties

Up there with Charles Woodson at MSU.

But it's not. If I add up You Tube TV, Hulu, Peacock and Netflix, it's a little more than half of what I was paying before. Cable costs had gotten insane. Cable/Internet was up to $240 a month for me. Now internet and those packages are about $145. Cheaper than going to a decent sized concert. I am a radio Program Director now and it's the only reason I can see Arctic Monkeys and Beck in the same week. If not for the perk of the job, I could not afford that.

it's all fixed anyway..........

Wow, Michigan got away with one there. Crappy refs.
-
He was over the line there.............No TD
-
Crappy job by O-Line on the first drive. That was alarming.
-
Gonna go ahead and say it now Today feels like it has the potential for The Horror II

Beautiful Day. That guy wearing the storm trooper outfit is gonna pass out in the sun.

Some people are very upset over the Peacock thing. It's $6 a month, it's no big deal, but I think folks probably need to get used to the fact that free football on TV is probably going away within a decade. Can't do it so much with sports that have 80 - 162 games a year, but for those precious 12-18 games of football? Yeah, people will probably have to pay soon. Better get used to the idea. Oh, you'll get free college games. Enjoy Eastern Michigan vs. Northern Illinois.

The Jesse Minter era begins...............

I know, it was depressing to hear about him taking his own life. He was really nice to everyone when we met him. He was honest about how tough the music business could be. They should have had way more than one hit in the U.S. It's something I have never understood. So many artists like that. The great Irish band Ash has a new album coming and on Under The Radar it will be Pick Of The Week and the show will have the theme "Hung Up At Customs", a bunch of great bands that just never broke through in the States. I won't include Big Country because they did have the one big hit, but "Fields of Fire" and "Look Away" should have been just as big. Our station played "The One I Love" from that album, but the song you posted, Seven Seas should have been the U.S. single. I think the label in the U.S. probably wanted the one that sounded the most like Pearl Jam or some other band. Everything had to sound like Pearl Jam after while......it's what killed the Alternative format.

at least they can draw for Women's Vollyeball.

I went to that show. Missed a bunch of AM because the Joe Louis Arena entry was a clusterbleep. Two doors open........that's it. Ask the folks in Cincinnati how well that strategy works.

He did me a favor once. Big Country came into our station in Georgia in 1993. We needed a couple of extra mics for their performance so I went into the Prod Studio and grabbed a mic, including the mic arm and I grabbed it where the springs are and got the palm of my hand stuck in the springs and it hurt like hell and folks were scrambling to find a screw driver and Stuart just walked up and said "sorry about this" put his hand on my shoulder and with his other hand just yanked it off my hand. It didn't hurt all that much when he did it. Not like I thought it would. He said "that's the only way it was coming off..........I've done it too". It left a bruise and he signed my bruise with a sharpie.
