  1. I guess we have a whole new perspective on the episode title "Plan and Execution" No titles yet available for Ep 8 - 13. Jimmy & Kimmy are horrible people.
  2. Well, John Ennis is probably on that Bob & David Argyle podcast, so he's fine. Will we see a David Cross cameo in BCS in the last 6. Even a 10 second one (clerk at a gas station, pastor at Howard's service?) Bob and David were both in that movie The Post with Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep -- and it was because Spielberg was a huge Mr. Show fan.
  3. No Matt Millen is a GENIUS.............He knew that the Raiders knew he was an idiot and would do the opposite of what he said. You just have to look at this from time and distance. It's like the song Ironic by Alanis Morissette. Nothing she sings in the song is actually ironic. What's ironic about rain on a wedding day or dying the day after you win the lottery. No irony there.................and then, just recently it it me, there is no irony in a song called Ironic and there for THAT is Ironic. Alanis is a genius. She played us all.
  4. There may not be a big cliffhanger tonight (I think he's gaslighting us here), but I am sure the ending will be really good. 1 hour and 34 minutes tonight.
  5. he was not injured when the trade was made. If he had vertigo then, he would not have been hitting .300 and if you take a look. He was hitting .299 going into the Houston series. After Houston he hit .200. He missed 2 games in Houston because he was sick, that's when it happened.
  6. It was a good trade. It was good because after 7 years of being the GM of this team, they didn't have enough outfielders after Riley Greene got hurt. So they needed Meadows and gave up an infielder they didn't need. Meadows was not sick when the season started, and in fact was one of the few guys hitting the ball until the Houston trip, when he got the ear/sinus infection. There was no way anyone could have predicted the guy would suffer from vertigo.
  7. I had vertigo for a short time after a sinus infection. If I stood up too quickly it's like someone turned the room sideways, but only if I got up quickly, if I took a second, took a good luck at the room and oriented myself, I was fine. It really sucked, though. Went away in about 2 weeks.
  8. He seemed fine early on. He got an ear infection in Houston and that did it. He may never play again.
  9. I don't think Lalo goes after Kim or Jimmy. I think Lalo is far more likely to go after Nacho's father, not to hurt Nacho's father, but to draw Mike closer to him. Lalo would believe that they key to getting at Gus is to eliminate Mike. I think Lalo will slow play it all. Crazy as he is, Lalo is very smart and makes moves like a Chess player.
  10. I still find it hard to believe that running through a plywood fence killed Bump Bailey. He didn't even hit head first.
  11. My mom actually dated Reno Bertoia for a short time. I was 15. He showed me his 1968 World Series ring (he was a scout for the Tigers at that point). He was kind of a dour guy. He could cook pretty well, though. (I am kind of a dour guy myself these days...you know, with the self-hatred and all).
  12. Faedo belongs here - because even when he doesn't have his good stuff, he's pitching well.
  13. oh man, everybody knew that. My 81 year old mom heard me talk about Alex Faedo and she asked "Is he related to Lenny Faedo?"..............you're slippin'
  14. Play anyway. Just as good a chance of the Tigers hitting the ball.
  15. There are cameras everywhere at ballparks. I am sure that they can figure out who is throwing things onto the field. Happened in the Giants-Padres game yesterday in SF when fans were throwing things (including plastic bottles & baseballs) at Jurickson Profar of the Padres. Make the announcement during the game and publicize it in the local media. If it happens again, we'll be able to see who is doing it, and you will be banned for life from the park - not only that, but if you do it again, alcohol sales will be banned for the entire outfield sections, as well as the kiosks near those sections and you'll have to walk to the other side of the stadium to get your $16 beer. Then outfield netting will be put up in front of the offending section - and your name will be publicized and you will be given full credit for the changes. If you think that's worth becoming famous, understand, that people will hate you and harass you constantly. Nothing sadder than watching home run balls get caught in a net instead of into the fans. I understand why they have it in Toledo (don't want a car to get hit), but at a Major League park it would be embarrassing. Fan behavior in sports has gotten totally out of hand. It's always just a small group of people doing it, but it ruins it for everyone and drastic changes will have to be made. Another indication that our society is falling completely apart. I don't go to NFL games anyone because watching at home is a much better experience. Last game I went to at Ford Field several fights broke out. Morons. ADWB Angry Drunk White Boys - angry about what? If you can afford an NFL ticket, you're doing alright. If I see someone throw a battery or bottle onto the field at a baseball game, you can bet I'm snitching on them.
  16. They need to call up Kody Clemens. They need a spark and maybe it won't be him, but they need to give him a shot. He can play RF-LF-2B-3B-1B. But they probably can't afford to send any of their 14 pitchers down since they'll likely have to use "openers" in TWO slots now. What a mess. Frankly, if Schoop doesn't start showing something consistently, just cut your losses and give the rookie a shot. Even though Schoop has gotten some hits here and there, he's hitting .205 in the last 10 games and that has raised his average to .157. How much longer do we sink with him. Even if Kody is not an answer, we're better off with The Castros at 2b.
  17. Tim called himself the next Jackie Robinson (sure Tim, you have that kind of pressure on your shoulders, sure). So he shouldn't be shocked if it's thrown back at him.
  18. If you rip Tim Anderson you're racist though.
