  1. Is that the longest Field Goal in Lions history?
  2. Wow. So no overreaction, eh? Every good team has 2-4 clunkers in them. And the Lions could still pull this off. Wonder if Goff is ill or something. Gonna love the callers on sports radio tomorrow. All of them will be "Goff sucks". It's one game.
  3. Goff must have had some gummies............
  4. Yep. They never ever recover from slow starts. Ever.
  5. Great game Aaron.
  6. He wouldn't let Ivey play his game last year.
  7. Chiefs are more lucky than good this year. I wonder how many false starts their LT got this week.
  8. Well, The Yzerplan is failing. It's a flop. The thing that you need to remember is that in order to make the playoffs in this sport, you only have to be in the top half of your conference and this team can't even do that after this long? Not acceptable. Yzerman's seat should be quite warm right now.
  9. Steelers made an amazing tackle to stop a Zack Ertz from turning after a catch for a first down. They stopped him
  10. Pet Peeve. People who tell you to remember Veterans Day just after voting for someone who calls them "losers and suckers".
  11. It reminds me of the time that everyone in the world knew the Lions needed to get rid of Quinn and Patricia but Sheila Hamp and she gave them that extra, pointless year. Bears in the same spot. Eberflus and McCarthy will both be fired and Ben Johnson is going to be the #1 candidate for both jobs. I sure hope that Johnson's understudy pays very close attention to what he's doing. The Lions OC job should be filled by an insider.
  12. Okay, Now Brian Daboll is in trouble.
  13. You have to start questioning whether Lalonde is the right guy for this.
  14. Think of how much better our defense will be without him. Man, and if we can lose Ben Johnson too? Wow. 23-0 next year.
  15. Dak Done for the year. Lions have never beaten Dak Prescott. Until This Year Lions have never beaten the Tennessee Titans. Until This Year Lions haven't beaten the Texas since 2004. We'll see...........
  16. My first choice would be the Yankees minor league park in Tampa. Rays draw about 16 K and it's a 10K that I read somewhere could be expanded to 12-13 K capacity. But here's the problem. Sharing. I guess MLB could ask the Yankees (and have the Rays pay them) to have the minor league team alter their schedule to accommodate the already scheduled Rays. They can't ask the minor leaguers to play in the Florida sun all season. I guess the best/easiest option would be to have the Rays play in Miami and have to play a day game when the Marlins have a night game. At least they can close the roof Having them play in Oakland would be very embarrassing for MLB, so they won't do that. I am guessing that Montreal's Olympic stadium would need a lot of work - and fast - to host a team. What's been the upkeep the last 20 years? There could be unforeseen border-crossing issues too. They could kind of do what the Blue Jays did in 2020 or what the A's are doing next year in their own minor league team's stadium. Nashville really wants a MLB team. Maybe they could sort of "audition" for a team. If that was the case, they might sell out almost every night and give the Rays the vibe they never get at the Trop. But two MLB teams playing in Minor League stadiums could get embarrassing. Or - another interesting option would be the travelling road show, having the Rays play in several different locations (including Indy and Charlotte) But that seems like it would be an incredibly unfair burden to those players. I've always liked the idea of MLB games being played in some neutral non-MLB cities. Every team having a home and a road series at a non-MLB city, but owners sure wouldn't want to give up that money. I know some money was approved for repairs on the Trop, but has it started yet? Seems like a terrible waste of money. But don't worry, they'll find a way to make the fans pay for that, I guess. I'm still a little surprised they committed to staying in Tampa. It's a team that's got a shot every year and they deserve better than the fanbase they (don't) get.
  17. There is no perfect choice, but I really can't see them spending 9 figures to fix a stadium they are leaving in 3 years and they can't "remove" the roof because they have no drainage system and it rains in Western Florida almost daily in the Summer (it did when I lived in Naples.....lightning storms every single day around 3-5 pm)
  18. 4th win came January 15th last season. Ivey & Cade are the 4th-ranked scoring backcourt Pistons at 4-6, a tick away from 5-5 after an 0-4 start Monty Williams really sucked.
  19. But it's specifically-related to the Vertigo. It's got to suck to get over something only to have it haunt you. I guess Josh Pachal of the Lions just got that scare the last few weeks a cancer scare.
  20. Our secondary has looked really good. When are we getting Iffy back? This season? If they end up going through this stretch of @Dallas, @Minnesota @Green Bay and @ Houston with no losses, my goodness 16-1 or 15-2 is a very real possibility. I keep expecting the natural thing of losing some intensity against a team like Jacksonville or Indy or a fraying Bears team, but this team doesn't seem to ever do that. The only blemish, that Tampa Bay game, in my opinion, was from being out of sync, not having played in preseason at all and I will GLADLY trade that for an incredible run like this. This is such the opposite of my entire life as a Lions fan. And this is going to last for a few years. With this GM's drafting and scouting abilities, this may last for a decade or more. Just keep Jared Goff upright and healthy. So much of what this team does on offense is based on perfect timing that putting Hooker in there to carry it would probably be quite problematic, even though I think Hooker has a lot of talent. Brady was not a dynamic athlete, not that mobile, medium arm strength. At the end Peyton Manning could hardly move and couldn't chuck it more than 35 yards anymore, but still won a Super Bowl. It's all about Game Management. The athletic guys eventually fade. Lamar only has about 2-3 years of this kind of play in him, what will he be when he can't use his feet anymore? This is incredible. This can't be real. All that awful Karma snapped back like a rubber band in the span of 3 years. Holy **** is this fun.
  21. I remember what Nick Esasky said about his Vertigo. That even after it went away he would get this strange feeling like it was about to strike in certain situations and his heart would start pounding and he felt vertigo-like symptoms and it just plagued him
  22. This kinda sucks. I remember when the first few days of Free Agency were a whirlwind. Crickets now, man.
