That’s not true. Teams are required to pay the player the guaranteed money per the contract. The Lions can’t just cut Goff and not expect to pay anything. The remedy is in the contract they negotiated.
They aren’t different. None of them honored their contracts. The Lions made all of those players the highest paid at their positions. The Lions have to be the only employer that’s required to still pay employees after they quit.
The Lions aren’t the only ones, they’re the only ones who get chastised for it. The 49ers and Dolphins have done it. Hell, the Bears may do it this year.
Keep in mind Sewell was a LT at Oregon. He switched to the right side when the Lions drafted him. He also played the left side his rookie year when Decker was injured.
Name any Democrat. Imagine if we kept up with Johnson’s Great Society, Clinton’s tax increase on the rich and assault weapon ban, Obama’s Obamacare, or Biden’s BBB. All progress from Dems is constantly wiped out by Republicans.
Well that was Biden and everyone threw him under the electric power bus because he was old. A Dem will win in 2028. Unfortunately, it will take generations to fix this mess and the American public will blame Democrats stuck fixing the mess like they did after Bush and Trump 1.0.
Raymond had 44 snaps on offense the first game of the season. Teslaa had 3. Teslaa had 44 snaps the final game of the season. Raymond had 14. Teslaa had passed Raymond as the number 3 receiver. Everything went exactly how they said it would when he was drafted. Raymond's role on this team was like 4/5 receiver and punt returner. Raymond probably fills the DJ Moore role in Chicago.
