  1. Isn't the NFL Live crew on ESPN different than their draft crew? Mina Kimes is pretty good, but I've noticed Orlovsky is starting to go downhill. He's getting a little too Stephen A Smith for my tastes.
  2. The Lions set up their contracts for basically a cap armageddon in 2026. Goff, Sewell, and St Brown will all have significant increases in their cap number in 2026. Goff's cap number goes up $37 million in 2026, St Brown $20 million, and Sewell $19 million. This has to be by design. The Lions can restructure these contracts and create enormous amounts of cap space. Not sure why they put it to 2026 but there has to be a reason.
  3. The Lions are in a good cap situation because they don't give out bad contracts to aging veterans like Trey Hendrickson. The Lions have been really disciplined in this regard. Brad Holmes has mentioned he didn't spend a lot because he has a lot of players coming up for new contracts. This shows they are thinking ahead and they have a plan. They have this mapped out for several years. Some of the players they signed to big deals, they left flexibility. Goff is going to have an enormous cap hit next year, but they didn't tack on void years so they have the ability to clear some ridiculous cap space like $40 million just from his contract. That is by design. They just have to stay disciplined and not chase the shiny objects every year.
  4. I could see them drafting a back late, but I think Vaki is being built for the Montgomery replacement. Speaking of Montgomery, that's going to be an interesting contract discussion. He did get the extension, but he's starting to get to that age where RBs start to breakdown and he's coming off a knee injury. I could see him gone within two years.
  5. Vaki is the Montgomery replacement. Both are similar size, same measurable, and both are skilled tackle breakers.
  6. Gibbs, Laporta and Branch are probably guys I would pay to stay. I think Williams could be the odd man out. Even with Williams, the Lions could use another receiver. Tim Patrick is their number three. I could see them drafting a receiver relatively high and trading Williams next year.
  7. They didn't get Hockenson's replacement until after they traded him. It's also possible they could draft a replacement now, play whoever next year and trade them and turn it over to the player they drafted.
  8. You'll start to see more of those second tier player start to leave. Anzalone's contract is up. He's on the wrong side of 30 and I think they let him walk. Reader is good as gone after this year. This is probably Glasglow's last year. You also saw last year when they let Jackson walk. Decker is probably on the way out sooner rather than later.
  9. I really hope this puts to rest the Hendrickson nonsense. They can't afford him and they are going to reward their homegrown players.
  10. I think Pritzker would win in 2028. I just don't know if he could make it through the primary. I also wonder if there are more to those Blagojevich tapes we haven't heard yet that would come out in a presidential campaign.
  11. Lauren Underwood should be the future of the party and not AOC. Underwood has actually accomplished something. She's young like AOC, she won a competitive district by defeating a Republican incumbent, and she has actually passed legislation and even held a leadership position. I like Pritzker as a presidential candidate. Ironically, the leftist that hate Jews love Bernie Sanders who is a Jew. I wonder if they have discovered that yet? A billionaire Jew probably wouldn't play well to the white leftists. I still think Pritzker is going to make a run.
  12. I like Lauren Underwood here. I think Pritzker will run for president instead.
  13. Being disappeared in Detroit now.
  14. Wasn't Mace originally supposed to be one of the sane ones? I think she completely broke when she went to New York to grovel in front of Trump Tower.
  15. I know who I’m voting for.
  16. I am not accepting it. I think 2028 is a very good year for a woman to win. I think a normal Democrat like Harris or Whitmer would win in 2028. I also think Slotkin is an underrated candidate.
  17. I feel like the time to trade him may be next year. Let him put up another good season and get a 1st. When you draft as well as the Lions, You are going to have to make tough decisions and can't keep everybody.
  18. Susan Collins is trying to win in a blue state that Donald Trump is publicly targeting. One would think standing up to Trump would help her a lot more than hurt her.
