Tampa was 3-1 when the Lions played them and the Lions were without Montgomery, Gibbs and Jackson. After the Detroit game, they struggled for a while before beating some mediocre teams at the end.

I'm enjoying Dallas and Philadelphia flopping in the 1st round of the playoffs.

Last time the Lions played Tampa, they didn't have Gibbs, Montgomery or Jackson.

Looking at who they've beat in their final 6 when they went 5-1, it was Carolina twice and not convincingly, Atlanta in a close game, a reeling Jacksonville team and a win at Green Bay.

The score was 16-9 at half. The Eagles still have not converted a 3rd down.

Some of those losses were to bad teams too.

I'll still take Gibbs and Laporta over Carter. I still worry about Carter's effort.

Except for this past draft, his draft on defense hasn't been good.

This Tampa team won 9-0 against Carolina last week and Carolina fumbled a ball in the redzone that went out the endzone.

I really question Sirianni's job security. This team looks like it quit.

The Eagles are without AJ Brown. He could be back next week. The Eagles have a higher ceiling so I don't want them to figure it out.

I've learned not to judge Holmes draft picks for 3 years. We've seen McNeil, Barnes, and Melifonwu all make big improvements in year 3.

This Eagles team can't tackle. Just looks like poor effort.

I would rather play a good running team since that is the strength of the Lions defense.

I hate Patricia as much as anyone, but the defense was bad before Patricia started calling plays. That's the reason he's calling plays. Also, Patricia didn't design the defense.

I have to say, Patricia looks like he lost a lot of weight.

So far it looks like the only competitive playoff game was the Lions game.

I also want to point out that the Rams rested a lot of their starters and lost.

I think James Houston's evaluation period is up this week. Either they add him to the roster or he remains on IR. Maybe he plays next week.

I read Rams fans saying McVay is so much smarter than Campbell because Campbell went for it on 4th and 5 in the red zone instead of kicking a FG. Now they are all mad at McVay for kicking FGs instead of going for it.

I remember that. I also remember a game late in 2011 against the Saints (not the playoff game) in which the Lions lost it because of personal foul penalties and Raiola was in the locker room calling players out telling them to basically grow up.
