  1. Haven't been following what this beef is about but that to the rest of the division having issues.
  2. Interesting Chark was there but not Williams.
  3. He went by Joey and not Joe. You didn't see Joey Flacco or Joey Montana winning Super Bowls.
  4. They don't have their ace in the hole anymore. I read the Rams board on occasion and they're wondering why they aren't finding as many players in the late rounds as they used to.
  5. That isn't necessary. McConnell wasn't attacked by someone the Dems have radicalized. McConnell fell on his own because he's too old and should be in a nursing home.
  6. The Rams would probably be willing to get out of Aaron Donald's contract but they can't because the cap hit will be enormous.
  7. I understand giving Stafford the contract. You gave up a lot to get him and he rewarded you with a Super Bowl. I think injuries caught up to him sooner than I thought.
  8. The Rams basically have 4 1sts, 2 2nd's, and 2 3rd's plus a couple hundred million in salary into their QB for one Super Bowl and are now looking at a brutal rebuild. I can't help but think they could have spent those resources better.
  9. The extension Stafford signed with the Rams kicks in this year. The extension hasn't even started yet and they want to move on from him.
  10. McConnell fell and suffered a concussion. This is how they treat their own.
  11. The Rams wouldn't do it, but if I'm the Texans I would trade them a random player plus a mid to late pick for Stafford and a 1st. I would cut Stafford right away. The Rams will probably be bad next year so you basically bought a high draft pick. Basically like the Brock Osweiler trade with Cleveland.
  12. What a difference two years makes. The Rams had to pay to make Goff go away. They probably can't even pay to make Stafford go away and Goff actually has trade value now.
  13. I would also add that in 2021 Goff's top receivers were the likes of Tom Kennedy, Kalif Raymond, Khaderal Hodge and a rookie St Brown. Swift was also injured and Jamaal Williams. They relied on a RB named Netflix because he wasn't even in the league. The LT missed half the season and the center missed most of the season. The team surrounding Jackson is an excuse but not for Goff. Despite that, in 2021 Goff had an identical QB rating to Jackson, had more total yards, and only one fewer TD.
  14. Amazing how Goff always ends up with the best coaches. The Lions are a longstanding organization known for their impeccable coaching.
  15. If the Rams trade Stafford pre June 1st, they would lose $54 million in cap space. His dead cap number is $75 million. Post June 1st would be a cap savings of $1.5 million. Stafford's cap hit in 2024 is $49.5 million and $50.5 million in 2025 when he is 37. I'm not sure what team would want that. I think for better or worse the Rams and the Stafford are stuck with each other. McVay probably won't be around to see the end of it.
  16. Stafford is untradeable.
  17. I would be curious to know if Cominsky prefers Soldier Field or Ford Field.
  18. Who was the last QB like Jackson to win a Super Bowl? Mahomes is mobile but he has never rushed for more than 380 yards in a season. QB runs are just not an integral part of his game. Looking at recent winners, Stafford is not mobile. Brady certainly isn't. Both Manning's were statues. Flacco was a statue. The only one that comes to mind is Russell Wilson and he was a better pocket passer than Jackson. It's just not sustainable play.
  19. I remember a time when Lions fans would have gladly traded Stafford for Cam Newton.
  20. My baby boomer father is 76 and has been retired for 20 years. How fortunate were baby boomers who didn't need a college education and could retire at 56.
  21. I think Jackson would be a little more productive on the Lions than he is with the Ravens. I think Gehringer brings up a good point. That extra production probably means less production for St Brown. Instead of throwing those quick little crossing routes, Jackson can just run with it. It may me mean fewer carries for Swift and Williams if he is re-sgined. You're basically shifting the yards around and it's a fools game to think you are going to consistently get 1,200 yards on the ground from Jackson going forward.
  22. Yup, I prefer pocket passers who have a little mobility. Prime Aaron Rodgers is a perfect example. He could manipulate the pocket to find open receivers and still take off and run for a 1st down but he only did it when necessary. It's cool that Lamar Jackson can run for 1,200 yards but I would rather just hand it off to a RB. I wish Goff had a little more mobility but you can't have your cake and eat it too.
  23. Keep in mind that the Ravens aren't afraid to give QBs money. They made Joe Flacco the highest paid QB at the time. Something just doesn't sit right with me about the Ravens not committing to Jackson.
  24. And Lamar Jackson got rolled 28-12 by Ryan Tannehill in the playoffs. When Tennessee forced him to be a pocket passer he failed. Basically you're clinging to a hope that Jackson will be the QB he was 4 years ago when he setting all time records in rushing yards. At the end of the day, Goff on average produces more yards and TDs than Jackson and can stay on the field.
