  1. Jim Caldwell got two shots. Usually that's all you get unless you are a Super Bowl winner.
  2. I think the Carolina job was an underrated job and probably one of the best of the available jobs.
  3. There is a VW Golf. I'm not sure if it was a typo or not but I ran with it.
  4. It's a new brand out of California. It performed well at first but only under certain conditions and certain drivers. Didn't perform well in cold conditions and lacks top end acceleration. In the right conditions it's pretty safe, prefers efficiency over high speed. Had low resale value and owners had to pay to get rid of it. It was replaced with a Mustang GT with a little wear.
  5. I for one bought a Ford Mach E because their name is on the stadium of one of North America's historically bad franchises.
  6. You never know when your paths are going to cross like it did with Goff and Stafford.
  7. Holmes was there when they acquired Ramsey and Ramsey said those comments while he was still in Jacksonville so I'll defer to Holmes and Campbell on if he is a kneecapper. Ramsey does like to talk though.
  8. Jalen Ramsey didn't exactly have a ringing endorsement of Goff before the Rams traded for him "Jared Goff, he's average to above average. He reminds me of Jimmy Garoppolo a little bit. Year one, he wasn't good. He wasn't even good enough to earn his own starting role. Like, if you the number one pick, you expected to start now. Period. He wasn't ready to do that. He wasn't able to do that. Then when he did get in, he didn't really do that good. But in his second year, they got a new offensive coordinator. Your offensive coordinator is just your brainiac. When we played them, it felt like his offensive coordinator was drawing up perfect plays and then he was hitting the open man. For what his team ask him to do, yeah, he's good." He also said Josh Allen was trash and was meh about Stafford. "Matthew Stafford, I think he's straight. I don't think he the best quarterback out there. But he do what he gotta do." 9. Not sure who the source is but it would make sense the Lions would have interest.
  10. Sounds like the NFL.
  11. Campbell had as many wins as Pederson and Daboll and beat both by double digits. He lost by a combined 6 points to Sirianni and McDermott.
  12. Here's something to chew on. Goff is the Rodney Dangerfield of QBs.
  13. Hockenson with Minnesota was on pace for 102 catches over a full season but only 880 yards. Only about 8 yards per reception. His catch percentage was up almost 10% in Minnesota. My guess is Minnesota used him for the short little dump offs while the Lions wanted him to be more of a downfield threat in the middle of the field.
  14. I would also add that in a strange way St Brown is the de facto TE. He plays in the slot and works the same areas as a TE and he's an exceptional run blocker who they use frequently as a run blocker.
  15. The Lions didn't just trade a Pro Bowl TE to just go and draft another TE top 10. Hockenson got a lot more targets in Minnesota than Detroit. The Lions simply don't value TE as much as other teams. Odd since their coach is a former TE and the offensive coordinator is a former TE coach.
  16. He cost Dallas 15 yards and probably one extra play. That was brutal.
  17. FWIW, Pat McAfee said the Colts were never suppose to snap that ball. It was suppose to confuse the Patriots and try to get them to jump. It looked like Dallas had their OL split out wide so it looked like they were trying to get their lineman downfield to block. It was interesting but I'm not sure what Elliot was snapping the ball unless you wanted him available for a lateral.
  18. I'm wondering why you have Elliot as Center instead of an actual center and just have receivers and running backs as lineman?
  19. There's a good chance the game against the Chiefs is in Germany and the Lions will have more fans in LA than the Chargers.
  20. Hmmm, Cousins threw 5 INTs before Hockenson and 9 after Hockenson.
  21. Brad Holmes was director of college scouting for the Rams. This guy dates back to the Millen era. I figured everyone from the Millen era was gone.
  22. It could also mean teams start throwing more to your second corner and exposing him.
