  1. Not sure who the source is but it would make sense the Lions would have interest.
  2. Sounds like the NFL.
  3. Campbell had as many wins as Pederson and Daboll and beat both by double digits. He lost by a combined 6 points to Sirianni and McDermott.
  4. Here's something to chew on. Goff is the Rodney Dangerfield of QBs.
  5. Hockenson with Minnesota was on pace for 102 catches over a full season but only 880 yards. Only about 8 yards per reception. His catch percentage was up almost 10% in Minnesota. My guess is Minnesota used him for the short little dump offs while the Lions wanted him to be more of a downfield threat in the middle of the field.
  6. I would also add that in a strange way St Brown is the de facto TE. He plays in the slot and works the same areas as a TE and he's an exceptional run blocker who they use frequently as a run blocker.
  7. The Lions didn't just trade a Pro Bowl TE to just go and draft another TE top 10. Hockenson got a lot more targets in Minnesota than Detroit. The Lions simply don't value TE as much as other teams. Odd since their coach is a former TE and the offensive coordinator is a former TE coach.
  8. He cost Dallas 15 yards and probably one extra play. That was brutal.
  9. FWIW, Pat McAfee said the Colts were never suppose to snap that ball. It was suppose to confuse the Patriots and try to get them to jump. It looked like Dallas had their OL split out wide so it looked like they were trying to get their lineman downfield to block. It was interesting but I'm not sure what Elliot was snapping the ball unless you wanted him available for a lateral.
  10. I'm wondering why you have Elliot as Center instead of an actual center and just have receivers and running backs as lineman?
  11. There's a good chance the game against the Chiefs is in Germany and the Lions will have more fans in LA than the Chargers.
  12. Hmmm, Cousins threw 5 INTs before Hockenson and 9 after Hockenson.
  13. Brad Holmes was director of college scouting for the Rams. This guy dates back to the Millen era. I figured everyone from the Millen era was gone.
  14. It could also mean teams start throwing more to your second corner and exposing him.
  15. I would think hard about trading the 18th pick for Ramsey. You still have the 6th pick to draft an impact defensive player and two 2nd round picks to add to the defense. The Lions are right there on the cusp of winning the division.
  16. Not bad for a 6th rounder.
  17. That really makes the regular season less relevant. All you need to really worry about is winning the division.
  18. I think the Rams can get a late 1st for Ramsey. They aren't saving a lot of cap space so it's not like there is motivation there to move him. It would only be if Ramsey wants out and is becoming a locker room issue in which case you may want to be cautious.
  19. It does change that because if you burn a 1st round pick this year on a QB, you can't just go to Goff next year and say yeah we always believed you were our guy, sign an extension. if Goff does, you then spent a 1st rounder on a backup QB. It's not a big deal if people aren't sold on Goff. It's weird though when someone wants to draft Richardson but doesn't want to replace Goff, essentially making Richardson the backup, but you don't want that either but backup QB is one of the team's biggest needs. That aside, I have a low opinion of Richardson because I think people are just enamored with his physical ability when he hasn't proven he can actually play the position. I mean it's cool he can throw a deep pass with ease with no pads or a pass rush or a covered receiver. It's like the Malik Willis tape from last year when fans through out the idea of him being drafted 2nd and he didn't go until the 3rd round.
  20. Goff completed 60% of his passes on a 1-11 Cal team. Scanning that roser and it looks like the only NFL talent at receiver was Richard Rodgers.
  21. If you draft him in the 1st round, he needs to be the starting QB by year 3. Goff is only under contract for two years and he probably isn't going to want to re-sign with the Lions because he has to constantly look over his shoulder. It would be the same situation as the Rams.
