  1. After looking at it again, they let the play clock run down to 4 seconds. They didn't save much time. They could have saved 30 more seconds if they wanted to. My guess is Staley wanted to talk to his defense and let them know to play for the tie.
  2. They ran it on 3 straight play at over 55 yards out. If they were truly playing to win, they would have at least attempted a pass to get closer and then ran on it. They seemed indifferent. The timeout by the Chargers came with only 4 seconds on the play clock so it really didn't save much time. The play was not stopping them on 3rd down.
  3. The time would matter if he misses. The Raiders didn't seem like they were in a hurry though.
  4. But they will be trading two of their own which would likely be better picks than the Rams so the net is nothing. They could have just traded Stafford to Carolina for the 9th pick and drafted Fields. I'm also wondering how far you think the Lions would need to trade up that they would be trading three 1st round picks?
  5. Why did the Chargers call timeout?
  6. 2 minutes. The Raiders can kneel and end it as long as the Chargers don't call timeout.
  7. The two owners should call each other to give word to the head coaches to kneel on it.
  8. I can't imagine being a Steelers fan right now.
  9. The Chargers and Raiders are going to OT. Do they both just kneel down?
  10. You essentially end up with nothing for Stafford except a rookie QB.
  11. Speaking of trades, Wentz cost the Colts a 1st and 2nd round pick.
  12. Watson, Rodgers, Wilson could all be available via trade so you might as well trade now if you're going that route. Otherwise, you are probably looking at the likes of Mayfield, Tua or Carr. Garoppolo will be a free agent by the end of next year. Not sure any are better than Goff.
  13. They probably told that to the Rams defense after Stafford got them the lead and the defense gave up an 88 yard TD drive in 60 seconds.
  14. There's also Matthew Stafford who was worse than Goff at this point in his career. The point is, Goff has earned the opportunity to prove if he can be the future QB next season based on his performance the 2nd half of this season and his career and not because of his contract or what the Lions roster looks like next year. If you already determined he isn't the QB, then you better draft one this year because you will need to make a decision on his contract at the end of next season
  15. Except he's done it before over the course of a full season multiple times and he's not exactly old. It's kind of like the situation with the Dolphins. They cut Tannehill in favor of Tua and Tannehill has played in an AFC Championship game and has the top seed in the AFC.
  16. Yikes. He was going to get paid too.
  17. It depends on the playoffs. If they win the Super Bowl, it could be as low as 32.
  18. Diggs is set to become a free agent.
  19. The only problem with your analogy is there is no Katherine Mcphee. We're talking the difference between picking 1 or 2 when there is no clear number 1.
  20. Watching the Raiders/Chargers game and I didn't realize Marcus Mariota is still in the league. A highly drafted QB replaced by a veteran who was given on up by his former team.
  21. I'm onboard with Campbell call plays next year. They damn near won that Atlanta game with Boyle as QB.
