  1. I can't wait until voting rights start getting stripped and abortion becomes illegal and COVID cases skyrocket and the Democrats who didn't vote start protesting in their cute hats.
  2. I'm not confident but with the lack of competitive Detroit sports this is all I got.
  3. Thankfully Biden won by 10.
  4. California, which is about the same size as Canada, averaged 3 times as many deaths as Canada and California is one of the better ones in the US.
  5. Polls are closed now. Someone call it for McAuliffe.
  6. Obama won by 4 in 2012, Clinton by 5 in 2016, and Biden by 10 in 2020. McAuliffe won in 2013 (even with his party in the White House) and Northam won by 9. The trend seems to be blue. It's no California but it doesn't seem both are starting from the same starting position. All indications are that turnout is also up in Democratic areas. It's possible McAuliffe could end up with the same vote total as Northam and win by a less margin.
  7. Northam won by 9. It seems the state is moving blue. Pre 2008 elections don't seem relevant. A Republican hasn't won statewide election in 12 years.
  8. Apparently this woman is a political analyst.
  9. Wasserman also seems to act like Virginia is a tossup. It's a D+10 state. Even if turnout is up for Youngkin, it doesn't seem like turnout alone will be enough.
  10. I hope they do considering smaller Republican counties are showing 120% of 2017 turnout.
  11. It seems like a lot of people are framing this race as both candidates starting from an even position. Virginia shades to the left. Turnout has been strong in Democratic areas so it doesn't look like Youngkin will make up that ground on turnout alone. Can he convince enough Never Trumpers? If he does, that movement is dead to me.
  12. In 2017, Northam won by nearly 9 points so there is some buffer. The key is Democrats aren't getting blown out in turnout so far.
  13. I'm too invested in an election in a state I don't live in.
  14. Meanwhile in Texas...
  15. No election going on here. My councilman was arrested yet again and I cannot find where to sign the recall petition.
  16. Speaking of light rain, if Youngkin wins, he'll make it illegal to pass out umbrellas or ponchos to voters waiting in line.
  17. Maybe we were a little premature to think Virginia broke away from its confederacy roots.
  18. Found proof of Luciferase in vaccines.
  19. I bought an electric vehicle and the first place I looked naturally was Tesla. It was eye opening, especially the cult. It's unlike anything I have ever seen with a car company. They hang on every word from Elon Musk the way Trumpers do with Trump. They will send death threats to journalists who criticize a Tesla vehicle or praise another manufacturers vehicle. Tesla vehicles have the worst build quality in the industry. Horribly aligned body panels, mismatched colors, door handles that don't work, and issue with the front suspension collapsing. The autopilot is nothing more than adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. GM is the only one right now that makes a true hands off the wheel self driving system. I ended up placing an order for a Ford Mustang Mach E. One of the first true Tesla competitors.
  20. No, it is. Tesla promised full self-driving within one year and charged customers $10,000 for that option. That was 2016 and Tesla still isn't close to providing full self driving. Tesla is under investigation for it's false claims of self driving. Tesla makes lots of promises of future developments and rarely deliver. Tesla screwed up their solar roof and charged customers double their agreed upon price. Tesla took pre-orders on a roadster in 2017 and required at least a $50,000 deposit. Those cars still haven't been delivered. Tesla came out with an innovative product 10 years ago and is milking that reputation to sell unrealized developments. Similar to how Trump ran Trump University.
  21. There is no Republican alternative to Trump. Remember, Kinzinger and Cheney both voted against the voting rights act and against the debt ceiling. Cheney even voted for Trump. Trump didn't change the Republican party, he's just a manifestation of the Republican party.
