That's the sign of a good team. Your coordinators get hired as head coaches and your assistants get hired as coordinators for other team. If Glenn gets a head coaching job, you just promote Pleasant. Being able to develop your own coaches is underrated and rarely talked about.

Rodriguez seems to be more of the modern day LB. Smaller, fast and athletic who can play pass coverage vs the big, physical, hole filler like Tavai. Don't the Lions run more of a 4-2-5 defense anyways?

Provided everyone is healthy on offense, and that is a big if, this offense projects to be pretty good. You have a very good offensive line with Decker-Ragnow-Sewell and Jackson was even a Pro Bowler. You have outside threats in Chark and Williams, again health being a big question, you have St Brown in the slot and good depth with Reynolds as your number four. Hockenson at TE and another pass receiving TE in Mitchell plus a solid 1-2 combination in RB with Swift and Williams and there is no excuse for Goff. This is a make or break year for Goff. I'm also anxious to see Ben Johnson as OC. Goff and this offense were a lot better when he and Campbell took over.

I think this is going to be the draft that defines Holmes career. He had the choice of the two top pass rushers, did he choose the right one? Jameson Williams is the first big piece of the Stafford trade. Was it the right move? This is the draft where Holmes needs to lay down the foundation.

I looked up Rodriguez and Tavai's scouting reports, and Tavai was projected as a 5th rounder and Rodriguez a 4th rounder.

Seems more of a pass catching option and I'm fine with that. The Lions have two good tackles. They don't need a blocking TE. I like adding another passing threat.
