  1. The Russian military is dead. They are just a charade of what they used to be. They have been completely gutted by corrupt officials. Seems like all the money for maintenance has been diverted away and into personal Swiss bank accounts. I don’t want to play chicken and find out but I doubt their nukes are even operational anymore. Some crooked general probably sold their plutonium on the black market.
  2. I am not sure I agree with all of his assumptions but there’s some reason in there. As I think about it more, it seems more likely that it’s not about overvaluing the current talent on the roster as I said yesterday but more about sticking with the plan. This was never a 2 year rebuild. It was always part of the plan to still struggle a bit in year 2. They aren’t tanking by any means but there’s no real rush to dramatically improve the roster this season. Getting to 7-8 wins and at least being around the playoff hunt later in the season would be a great result for year 2. I think they want to give a longer look to some players on the roster that they probably would’ve moved on from if they were a year further along in the rebuild. Will be interesting to see what they do over the next few days.
  3. 5 of these teams made the playoffs last year. 3 are still actively involved in the DeShaun Watson trade sweepstakes. 1 is owned by Daniel Snyder and has Martin Mayhew as GM.
  4. I didn’t know it was possible for the Senate to unanimously agree anymore
  5. I have no clue how this correlates with anything that I said. Maybe you meant to quote someone else.
  6. When you are rebuilding, its important to take advantage of all opportunities to improve. They have elected to do nothing to enhance what they have on defense at this point of free agency. In my opinion, this is a wasted opportunity. They obviously feel much better about the talent on their current roster than what the numbers showed last year. I’m concerned as overrating your own talent is one of the big culprits for bad teams staying bad for a long time.
  7. I’d like to see them sign a lb like Leighton Vander Esch, Kyzir White, or dare I even say… Kyle Van Noy
  8. Nope. Here are my thoughts. They have not upgraded their defense.
  9. Absolutely not
  10. Nobody has said this.
  11. This is a terrible argument and you know it.
  12. I respect your opinion and maybe it will turn out to be correct but I do think this is a Lion fan pipe dream. (Calvin Johnson/Rob Sims weed in that pipe btw)
  13. They are going to need to immediately hit on a lot of picks to improve the 31st rated defense just through the draft.
  14. Harris and Walker we’re both decent last year. I’m not opposed to signing these guys back but they also need to add additional playmakers that can step in now and improve the defense. Keeping the the same guys without adding is just running it back with the same crappy defense.
  15. I thought this defense was terrible last year and needed a number of upgrades going forward. I’m not sure what I’m missing but apparently the team thinks otherwise since they have been resigning so many of the same players. I honestly don’t get it.
  16. Exactly my thoughts.
  17. It will take whatever money they had thought about for Williams and more. He was on a 4/$57M deal. Just an outside guess is it would take 4/$72M.
  18. It’s not going to happen but I’d love to see him in Honolulu blue and silver
  19. I love this deal. I really like the player, the fit, and the money. Brad crushed this one.
  20. I really hope not. Great guy. Not a great pitcher.
  21. I’m a little confused as to why they are bringing back so many parts from a defense that was horrible last year.
  22. Fake Twitter trolls are among the worst people on earth.
