    Agree his recent track record is very good and it's a low cost investment which also could be flipped at the deadline if our young pitchers step up. I would consider expanding the deal to bring Enrique Surez in to play 3B as well. Maybe Manning will get it done ?

    He is a strong bounce back candidate especially with Fetter. I proposed trading Maeda for him to bring the cost down to 12.5 and since the Diamondbacks owner publicly criticized him they might agree to take Maeda. Tenacious D suggesting getting a competitive balance pick as well.

    So Arizona owner called out Jordan Montgomery who will be exercising his 2025 option for 25 million. Maybe we should offer Kenta Maeda for Montgomery. It's plus 15 million but the upside is much higher IMO and Fetter and team can turn him back to stud with full spring training.

    That's always the risk for sure but the return should be credible as they still have value and maybe we won't lose a good prospect in the Rule 5 that could also come back to bite us. Additionally if we retain all three and they continue to falter do we jeopardize our 2025 season..especially if we do not add right-handed power waiting on Tork ? Tough decisions. Glad it's not me making them.

    Manning, Mize and Torkelson. Trade them all for good (per our evaluaters) low level minor leaguers to clear room on the 40. They gave us next to nothing during our run and postseason so they will not be missed so continue to back fill the pipeline.

    I think Maeda might be our off season “fix him” addition plus one solid multi season add and a good bullpen piece.

    St Louis retooling and looking to move Goldy Anarando Contreras and Gray. Not sure any work for us but if salaries are cut they could be stop gap help.

    It's a bit too soon to wrap my head around what I think the Tigers should do not that any of my ideas are necessarily good ones and certainly the Tigers are not waiting for them 😀. I will say I trust Harris and I don't think Junior is a total cheapskate though not a spender. I do think both Tork and Baez(if healthy) will be back though at least for the start of the season.

    Very true but without so many White Sux games maybe its Seattle and Boston as wild card teams rather than Detroit and KC ?

    Wow I totally forgot about the strike.Agree it does add to the season. I was 15 and skipping school to watch Campenerias throw his bat at Legrow. The 2-1 game was heartbreaking. Wish we had replay of Hendricks nubber to Aurelio at third, It was bang bang and decided the game and series IIRC.

    Not a fluke but greatly aided by playing 13 games against the woeful White Sox ( same for KC) that Seattle and Boston didn't have.

    1972. The last run for the 1968 Champions with Billy Martin at the helm has to be top 10.

    Tough to take but solace in knowing we have a good base of players and management in place that can draft and develop pointing to more good seasons ahead.
