  1. Hinch’s obsession with McStinky in full throttle again. He doesn’t help us now or in the future yet he plays more and more because he’s lefty and fits Hinch’s need to mix and max. Driving me crazy 😜 Two years ago he was fourth on the team in AB’s. Please Scotty cut him.
  2. I thought Kelly was free agent next season and that's why I thought to trade him ? My bad.
  3. Well I am adjusting for the future by placing players in positions they can actually play but of course you're correct they have to hit as well. Keith still projects to be solid hitter with power and appears to not be able to play second in my opinion and does not have the arm to play third. I didn't give him 26 million but we can't be stubborn if he can't turn the double play or fields below average. But I know it won't happen because they have already made up their mind.
  4. Move Keith to first base,,not sure how but just concede he can not play second base and move Jung back to second base in AAA since he can't play third, demote Badoo for Meadows and and move Riley back to LF and put Verling in RF, let Ibanez play second every day and Urshela 3B every day. Trade Canha, Flahtery and Kelly for best return possible aiming for third baseman if possible. Move Holten into the rotation and bring up Manning to pitch out of the bullpen. Give Malloy another 129 ABS at DH. Cut McKinstry.
  5. We can trade Flahtery and sign him next winter. It’s a rare thing but possible.
  6. I remain confident in Harris and he is making progress. What I would like to see is less development at the major league level and more proven additions to bridge the gap. I would rather a player stay too long in the minors than come up too soon especially if they are not sound defensively. While they are developing in the minors we can add more Urshela and Cahha types to the MLB team so we are competitive in this new wild card era and avoid clown shows in the field. It doesn't have to be Ohtani etc just some solid players that are not too expensive to jettison should a young player FORCE his way on the team.
  7. Hoping Malloy seeks revenge on his first team rather than making donations to them in the outfield.
  8. My hook began August 1967 which was cemented in 1968 when I was 10 and 11. Most definitely agree that if your in early your in for Life.
  9. Something is more than McStinky
  10. Hinch back to playing McKinstry ad Nauseam because switch hitters are gold. Never going to get a good read on Kinsler because he loves playing his confirmed AAAA guy.
  11. Chris Ilitch has already spent money on large contracts so there’s no questioning that. The Keith contract was minimal risk, not something I would do, and not indicative of an aggressive GM. Measured moves are good. We still have not seen enough of Harris to really know his style but this trade deadline , draft and next off season will be telling and I do hope for a higher sense of urgency. I remain confident in his abilities.
  12. Nice clean game and a Victory. Well done !
  13. Yes. Greene -LF , Verling -CF , Perez- RF , Rogers - C, Canha- 1B, Keith/Ibanenz- 2B ( platoon) Kreidler -SS (just let him sink or swim and his glove is way way better than McKinstry) Urshela- 3B DH - Mallory/Badoo(platoon) -NEVER let them in the field. This is the best defensively and the tiny advantage of platooning and moving players is more than off set by the improved defense of not doing that. Even in the platoon at second both players are playing the SAME position.
  14. That's good question. To add pressure to the player ? Create animosity and jealousy in the clubhouse ? To play him in the majors before he's ready. To show how clever you are ? I'm sorry for the negativity and I do support Harris and Hinch but not as blindly optimistically as once before. I'm just so tired of losing and I do not agree with the constant position changes that is for sure.
  15. Yes they did and it was wise BUT if Harris thought the Central division was at hand do you not think he wouldn't have taken Langford ?
  16. Agree 1000%. I have always chosen defense first. No clown shows please. Baez does have value as captain of the infield. We win Tuesdays game with him. McKinstry not covering third and dividing at player to luckily get an out and Keith letting a trow go through, Kriedler and Greene clanking balls off their gloves. And Hinch continues the merry go round of players changing positions. It's embarrising.
  17. It just wears you down year after year.
  18. What is the blueprint again ?
  19. At this point just play Kriedler every day and see what he can do. Josh dummy we talk about giving runway and now we play McKinstry who we know is a bench player.
  20. That runner was a dead duck if McKinstry covers third as he should have. Two days without Baez and we have one loss and added runs today. Defense matters especially at shortstop.
  21. Clown 🤡 show two days in a row.
  22. McStinky forgot to cover third
  23. Bloodbath brewing
  24. How does this look for Jace Jung ?
  25. So the best players we drafted, Carpenter and Skubal, did not require tanking. Great.
