    i think youre making a lot of assumptions based on very little evidence. the same thing i do when i say it might matter to him. i have no idea what skubal thinks.

    skubal wins. good, he deserves the money.

    the teams still do get to control player costs for the first six years of their major league career, not to mention all the years they are in the minor leagues. regardless of the outcome of skubal's arb hearing, the tigers will still be paying him less than his market value next season. the system still works to hold down player salaries, as it was designed to do.

    btw, note that the bulls got next to nothing for ayo or coby. to be fair to ayo and coby, the bulls are stupid and waited until they had no value to trade them, especially coby. otoh, they never had as much value as some seemed to think. both are very flawed players.

    the bulls now have the most second round picks in the league. who has the second most? detroit. but apparently they arent going to use any of them to get a player who could help them now.

    The bulls have traded almost their whole team for mostly peanuts other than patrick williams who is untradeable and josh giddey. how does their GM - who put the team together and drafted most of these players - still have a job?

    hopefully. the injuries might be a sign of decline. regardless, loke you said, if he can find his stroke again, he'll be good for them. And heurter finding his stroke is more likely to occur than thinking someone who never had a stroke (like holland or ausar) will suddenly develop one.

    his 3 point shooting has declined for 3 years now. it might just be he's slowing down and isnt as good anymore. he's still an upgrade on ivey for this year and he gets ivey's cap hold off their books.

    i'm not worried about the contract, i'm worried about the age. he's got a lot of goals this year, but jis shooting percentage is higher than its ever been in his career. yzerman has always liked him, so he may deal for him. i'd rather spend a first on defense this year. i wouldnt be too upset by stamkos, but by golly i wouldnt be overjoyed! better than elias petersson...

    i would make boston with tatum a favorite. without tatum its a toss up. i dont need to remind any of you how officials see boston...get ready for a parade of jalen brown to the free throw line. cleveland will be favored over detroit. the pistons' best hope is to get to game 7 so mitchell can pretend he's hurt and harden will choke. a healthy orlando scares me. the knicks scare me the least. i think kat has returned to being a pussy because he's not scared of his coach anymore. a healthy stew means a scaredy Kat.
