  1. randy...how long have you been a lions fan?
  2. cedric tillman come on down! how about a third rounder for dhop?
  3. exactly. both hires are nothing more than the good ol boy network getting someone a job. john fox sleepwalked through his last job and he'll sleepwalk through this one too. patricia's younger and has had his (undeserved) reputation as a defensive guru exposed for the fraud it alwaya was, so he might actually try. which -as we all know - is probably not a good thing! 😀
  4. john fox is 68 years old. its a retirement plan sop to someone who has been in the league a long time and hasnt been a defensive coordinator in 20 years.
  5. the only thing you really know about john gox is that he once was head coach of a team that went to the super bowl and he's now with the lions. the latter really being your reason for somehow liking this hire. if/when the bears hired (and fired) him, you didnt care and would have laughed. but when the LIONS hire him, its somehow a great thing. patricia as a dc has a more successful resume than fox. but you ignore that because you know patricia sucks. fox sucks too. he was awful with the bears. he's old. this is just more retirement money for an old dude with connections.
  6. matt patricia was on a team that won the super bowl, unlike john fox. therefore matt patricia is a great hire, better than john fox.
  7. matt patricia: successful assistant on multiple super bowls. im sure its a great hire as a defensive assistant just like john fox. lol.
  8. john fox was a disaster in chicago and couldnt wait to get out of town. everyone assumed he was retiring since he didnt do anything when he was here. not sure if we owed him a favor or something. he should retire.
  9. steve is still waiting to talk to his brother in law about china...
  10. ah, i see you speak "draftspeak" too! lol.
  11. i love how the warriors are "livid" about draymond's suspension. he's a clown who stomped on a guy! he's lucky he only got one game!
  12. there's plenty of research that shows drafting according to the public draft boards is the most successful thing to do. carter and anderson are at the top of everybody's lists for a reason.
  13. i'd be stunned if carter makes it past seattle if all 4 qbs are off the board by then. i could also see seattle take a qb to sit behind geno for a year or two.
  14. carter and anderson are the consensus best players in the draft. go get one. if one falls to them because some gm loves wilson's length, all the better. same thing happened with hutch last year and that has worked out so far.
  15. towns in the 4th quarter, 0-4 with a turnover. is it good to have more turnovers than made baskets? jimmy butler was right.
  16. i cannot guarantee we would have been better with herbert or that he would have developed the same way. thats correct.
  17. how about if they drafted herbert? i think they'd be ok.
  18. they have the best left tackle in football on that team. and a right tackle who just got massivley paid as a free agent. the eagles d line is pretty good too.
  19. you cant guarantee that. the one thing we do know is that they ran out of qbs in that game. to me, that's why they lost. they have great players at all the positions you mentioned. except one. quarterback. hell, that team was ao good they made the championship game with brock flipping purdy. and we're not likely ever to know if trey lance was a good pick until he gets healthy enough to play back to back GAMES, much less back to back seasons.
  20. taking a tackle wasnt the difference between the niners winning and losing that game to the eagles. the difference was quarterback.
  21. okudah is the perfect example.
  22. the choice isnt "draft for help now" or "draft a qb." the choice is between drafting the player you think will help your team the most and become the best player or drafting a player who plays a position we think needs help now. if you draft a cb because you need a cb now rather than drafting an wide receiver or a defensive end you think will be a demon in two years but will take time to bed in now, youve made a mistake.
  23. why? stroud isnt ready to start now most likely. fyi, newest pff mock, lol:
  24. would you give goff the contract jalen hurts just got?
