  1. but the pff mock draft tool let me trade #2 to the jets for #4, #10, and their first and third round picks next year. jags should totally get on the phone and call the jets.
  2. better root for the lions to be 2-15 next year or else they wont have a shot at either of those guys (if they live up to the hype). unless you want to trade the lions' first round pick for the next three years.
  3. i would agree with that.
  4. i took "exceptional" in that quote to be "outstanding or very good." nothing in her record suggests she will be any better (or worse) than any other justice.
  5. i dont really know what they should do at qb. everyone seems to say that this qb class is bad, so the lions shouldnt draft one. but these are the same people who gave ol mitch trubisky a 7.0 grade and said he was destined for greatness. so who knows? not me. at this point, i'll probably be happy with anyone holmes' drafts because of his reputation and how well his first draft class performed. ah, who am i fooling, i'll still find something to bitch about. lol.
  6. what makes her an exceptional justice other than the fact that she was picked by a democrat?
  7. i mean, it was snowing earlier...
  8. mb doesnt think goff is good? could have fooled me. i dont either of them are particularly good, but trubisky is cheaper and can run well so i dont think pittsburgh's qb situation is worse than detroit's cause they both need a long term solution at qb.
  9. if trubisky were on the lions, mb would say he was good. he's the same as goff: an average qb who sometimes plays well enough to win and sometimes is terrible. the thing with trubisky is he can run, which goff cant. so, as i said, the qb situation in detroit and pittsburgh is similar, but trubisky is cheaper so i'd probably rather have him. that's not a controversial opinion, imo.
  10. lol at lions fans thinking jared goff is good. his ceiling is "competent" qb. which is fine, but its not going to win you a super bowl (cue "well ackshually....."). i think goff will function fine in an offense that lives off a solid running game and play action and doesnt ask him to make difficult throws. in other words, what every average nfl qb could accomplish.
  11. i think trubisky has more upside than goff. trubisky is a better athlete and can run. and he's much cheaper. like i said, theyre in a similar situation, none of them have what appears to be a "solution" at qb. the chances that trubisky could be a quality qb are higher than goff, imo.
  12. i'd say the lions have a better qb situation than new orleans. unless they re-signed jameis. then i'd say its similar but i'd probably rather have goff.
  13. i think the lions have a better qb situation than seattle and carolina. i would not say the lions qb situation is better than pittsburgh or atlanta, i think its similar. in fact, i would take mitch on his contract over goff right now. i dont know about mariota. i guess i'd probably take goff. houston and davis mills is too early to say.
  14. if pickett or willis fell to 32 would you take him? i probably would.
  15. or...perhaps...for the lions to take a qb there... matt corral has a whole bunch of baker mayfield comps and john dorsey (the guy who drafted mayfield) is in the lions front office. so ya never know!
  16. its 40 degrees and raining here in chicago, so have fun with that tomorrow detroit!
  17. the democrats' are now in charge and have to deal with the influx of immigrants on the southern border. it apears they are attempting to do so in a manner quite similar to their republican counterparts, with the notable exception of not crying about a useless and expensive wall. that is an important distinction, but it doesnt stop the overall issue of what you do with all the people at the border and our need for more resources to deal with it.
  18. an injunction was entered by a court in california. the supreme court effectively overruled that injunction. it takes time to rewrite an epa regulation. biden reps have said they expect it to be done by next year.
  19. the clean water act was not overturned. its an epa regulation from the trump era. biden will issue a new regulation soon that effectively ends the trump regulation and we'll be back to the way it was pre-trump.
  20. that's what i think too. dont overthink it.
  21. the supreme court backed tyranny and hate? in what case? the one where they said trans people could sue for sexual discrimination? the one where they denied trump's attempts to overturn election results?
  22. caleb houstan ranked 21st? really? no.
  23. ras is getting more confident. still cant skate and his hands are iffy at times, but he's getting to the front of the net and he's being more physical. can he function as a puck getting big?
  24. i aasume the peojections have greene doing about the same as most young rookies do, badly. same with tork but maybe to a lesser degree. they dont like mize because he doesnt miss bats. manning has no real track record. they probably like skubal more. to me, .500 would be a success. all i want is to watch the kids play and hope they do well.
