  1. it's hard to judge these moves because the lions obviously arent done yet.
  2. jerami grant out for the rest of the season. tank is in full effect!
  3. that show is ridiculous. it treats the lakers in 1979 like theyre some horrible franchise that cant win! kareem was on that team!
  4. people will watch because its the nfl. people would watch paint dry if you put an nfl team logo on it.
  5. the allure of watching one of the worst teams in the league from the worst franchise in league history isnt enough to get you interested? well, people like to watch car crashes so maybe they'll like this?
  6. they have more talent now than they did two years ago (in every area but goal, apparently) and the results are getting worse. 10 to toronto. 9 to arizona. 11 to pittsburgh. whatever blashill is selling isnt being bought. the only way i can see him staying if is yzerman has told blashill that he wants the wings to play a more open style of play, results be damned. if that's the case, then maybe he stays? seider and raymond have gotten better under blashill, larkin is having his best season. bert has played well. and perhaps yzerman thinks the talent on the team is so bad that it doesnt matter who the coach is? that said, i dont know how he survives this season end. they've been 100% embarassed routinely in the last month. not just beaten, but embarrassed.
  7. again, that's just one way to measure position value and draft position in the nfl. its not gospel. but one thing it does show is that drafting later round qbs is usually useless.
  8. if you're looking at the surplus value of each position drafted in respect to their contract value, safety is middle of the pack. btw, the lowest returns are running back, center, linebacker, corner, and tight end. remind me again who bob quinn drafted early for the lions? i'm not opposed to drafting hamilton because i'm not a scout, maybe he is really special? a lot of on line scout types seem to think so. and the nfl is changing (but will change again as offenses and defenses continue to adjust) and safeties are becoming more important in pass defense. that said, what is constant is the need for a qb, a guy who can protect that qb, a guy who can get open and catch what the qb throws, and on defense a guy who can put that qb on the ground. those are the guys that go #2 in the draft usually.
  9. the acceptance speech was even better! he's here to represent love...
  10. igor will take the job.
  11. how do you keep blashill next season?
  12. wings on a back to back on the road against a good team? they never had a chance.
  13. 6-2! comeback time!
  14. well....that escalated quickly. amd ned gets pulled again.
  15. seider with the og.
  16. i am shocked - SHOCKED - to hear there may be cheating at memphis. next thing you know, you'll tell me kentucky is paying players.
  17. if the lions arent taking a qb this year, then they need all the assets going forward that they can get in order to trade up for a qb next year.
  18. i am regretting taking the over...
  19. i think it was bigger than tigers/yankees or tigers/red sox. it was not bigger than yankees/red sox given the history of those two teams.
  20. there was a big rivalry with the blue jays in the 80s. much bigger than the yankees or the red sox. lee is on the east coast, so i assume all they talk about is the yankees and red sox so it seems more important.
  21. more espn guys mocking willis to the lions.
  22. he played in 6 games at the end of the year after everyone got hurt and the bears quit trying. he was terrible.
  23. i really hope we draft a linebacker or two this year...
  24. he's a guy that ends up playing a lot more at the end of the season when everyone who is decent is hurt.
