  1. george blaha: dont look now greg, but the pistons have it under 30!
  2. if he is going to be drafted at the top of round 2, nfl scouts agree with you.
  3. look, you always want talented playmakers on your team, whether that be on offense or defense. if that means taking a really talented running back high(er) in the draft, so be it. but the lions already have a decently talented running back room and an effective running game with it. you dont need a bellcow running back anymore. and the lions lack playmakers at qb, receiver, and everywhere on defense, so much so that taking walker high in round two doesnt make sense to me.
  4. next up on the chopping block: ken holland.
  5. nobody was going to give him that kind of money. the pistons arent likely to either unless he totally balls out for them, which in a way would be counter-productive because then you might have to pay him.
  6. it doesnt matter because you can get a running back off the waiver wire who will likely be just as good. sony michel filled in for cam akers just fine. rams didnt miss a beat. if youre in the 4th round a rb is there and you think you need depth, by all means take one. but know that they are largely replaceable. i'd much rather have a ball hawking safety, cornerback, edge rusher, or wide receiver at that pick than kenneth walker who will just be part of a rb rotation.
  7. randy gets it.
  8. maybe keeping grant is weaver's way of ensuring the tank remains on schedule?
  9. he did the same thing with josh jackson and jahlil okafor. those didnt pan out either. its a fine gamble to take on bagley. if he's happy rim running and taking lobs from cade, then fine. we'll see how it goes. but the larger point is that you didnt have to give anything up to do it. you could have just signed him in the offseason.
  10. watching the nba (non pistons edition), with their floor spacing and shooting and athleticism, is so different than watching college ball. i saw that first half last night and was just amazed at how many layups players can miss, not to mention open jumpers.
  11. edwards-hillaire is your example of a successful pick? as for all your examples of offensive teams, you could have stopped with the qb. akers and henderson for the rams? come on. rb is the most replaceable position in the nfl. the lions got good production from cast off udfas this year and even more from jamal williams. im all for accumulating playmakers running backs in the top of the draft is not a way to do it. walker aint no christian mccaffery. those mock draft simulators are fun, but the trades they let you execute are ridiculous. really, the giants offered you two top 7 picks for #2 in a year without a top qb and you took it? well no shit you did. of course you did! would you offer #2 and #31 for #1 in this draft? no, but i bet the trade simulator would.
  12. why would the lions draft a running back in round 2? why would the giants give up 5 and 7 to get to 2? come on tater. lol.
  13. Jackson has had a nice resurrection to his career in Detroit, and he should help with the playmaking on the perimeter. He’s more of a playmaker for others than what they acquired in Lamb and Holiday. Lyles can be a decent stretch four for the Kings as well. This is a nice play for depth for a team that didn’t want Bagley before this season. *** they also said that about jackson and lyles. both of whom arent very good, imo. jackson is a playmaker?
  14. i want an unstoppable line.
  15. no trade for grant. we have a "comfortability" with him. weaver better KNOW he can get portland's #1 this year for grant in the offseason or else this was yet another stupid move.
  16. hronek in covid protocol
  17. good trade for both teams. i like brooklyn's haul better. simmons on that team with curry too should be awesome for them once durant gets back. simmons doesnt have to score. i hate harden so much. pissed that he goes to philly but that's a heckuva one-two punch with embiid. two of the best offensive players on the league. the problem will be chemistry. how long until harden blows it all up because he's such a diva bitch?
  18. andre got traded!
  19. i mean, getting bagley is fine. got him for a bag of junk. im pretty sure he didnt have to give up those picks but whatever, he'll trade them as quick as he gets them. but again, you must get something for grant. he's hindering cade. i guess the one good thing about not trading grant is that he helps them lose games.
  20. the same troy who traded sekou for deandre jordan's contract and 3 second round picks? i'll believe weaver knows what he's doing when he gets something for grant.
  21. play em together.
