if cade isnt playing, there's no point in watching. -
sorry, you were making fun of indiana. point kind of still stands about california and its mask mandate as opposed to indiana.
-
because when you were making fun of virginia and tiger was talking about indiana's lack of a mask mandate, you said indiana had a higher rate of covid per 100k than virginia so they should have a mask mandate. but california has a mask mandate and has a higher rate per 100k than indiana. so maybe its not the mask mandate (or lack thereof), maybe its something else?
-
it's spelled "More." 😋
-
cause california has higher numbers than indiana. so does washington which has some of the strictest covid regs around. the mere presence of stricter regulations does not diminish the spread of covid. i think that more states that have them tend to be better off than those that dont, but its not a massive difference. lots of this is just luck and seasonality. lets just hope it doesnt come back next flu season.

he has a spot on the radio here every friday morning. trust me, he doesnt know shit. one of my friends texted me after wannstedt said harbaugh had signed a contract with the vikings and told me "you're in luck, harbaugh is definitely not going to the vikings now." and lo and behold...

well i actually live in chicago and there are plenty of people walking around here without masks outside. inside you have to wear one so everyone is wearing one. as to vax mandates, you have to show your vax card to get into restaurants and bars and gyms, but they dont always check. we've been to places as a family and just sat down. but most places do, so im told.

the tigers needed to tank so they could draft high enough that not even avila could fuck it up.- 1,851 replies

dave wannstedt also said harbaugh had a signed contract with minnesota last friday. he also said kansas and iowa state were going to the big ten right after oklahoma and texas jumped to the big 12. dave wannstedt is wrong all the time. he's a dumb ass.

they need to get rid of mask requirements in school altogether. if they want to keep them going for this year to make the unions happy, so be it. but they should be gone next year. no forced quarantines or testing either. if youre sick stay home. if youre not sick, then go to school. lets just hope it keeps mutating down to the point where its nothing to most people (even moreso than now).

california has a higher vax rate than indiana and has a strict mask mandate (other than for politicians) and has a higher case rate per 100k than indiana.

Who do you want to replace Harbaugh if he goes to the NFL?
buddha replied to AlaskanTigersFan's topic in College Sports
i want clink to stay, but might want someone else to come in and call the plays. not sure clink is ready. -
this would be a good draft to be 1 or 2. which will suck when it ends up being the blackhawks so they can replace kane/toewes. although the league might be pissed at them after the sex abuse thing. nyah, they'll still give it to a big market.

the vaccine is like the flu shot. people get reactions to the flu shot all the time. its not usually a big deal. however, as a parent, its concerning that the shots were put out so quickly, without the usual time frame and testing that would normally go into a vaccine for smaller children.

maybe i'm greedy, but i was hoping for higher than 7. lol. he has edvinsson, cossa, and berggren as the only high level contributors in the group, with the next level as maybe being solid contributing players. after 12, its still a crapshoot if they can contribute or not. but this group combined with two calder candidates on the big squad is not bad.

fangio isnt going to want to recruit. i want a younger, hungrier guy. -
and yet they are in the lawsuit because they fired jim caldwell and teryl austin didnt think he had a chance at the head coaching job.

harbaugh's situation kind of undermines flores' argument too. harbaugh has the best resume of any coach on the market. he's won at every level. he's been to a super bowl. yet he has a reputation as being hard to work with and now he cant get hired. he's being passed over for younger coaches who are all in on "analytics." and after the success of those coaches: mcvay, taylor, staley, why wouldnt a team want to pluck someone from that tree? its been much more successful than the "patriot way" coaches. and hue jackson coming out of the woodwork isnt helping him any...

nagy was in charge of the offense with the bears. he couldnt make it work with trubisky and blamed the lack of offense on that. bears then traded for foles and signed dalton because nagy thought he needed a veteran who knew the offense. it still didnt work. then he called plays when fields was in charge and he looked awful. when nagy gave up the play calling, fields looked much better as they got him out of the pocket and moving, things to take advantage of fields' natural ability and lessen the influence of the bears' terrible o line. things that seemed obvious to everyone but nagy never did. look, maybe he's great. maybe he'll be better with the lions. maybe he's just there to help with a structure campbell has in place and campbell will continue to call the plays. but when nagy was in charge in chicago, the bears were not good, and his play calling was a big reason why.

the purpose of the draft is to make bad teams better, you destroy that with lotteries and giving better teams the top picks because they "tried to compete." sometimes teams are just bad for a while. it happens.- 1,851 replies

nagy looked great when he had andy reid and patrick mahomes. when he went to chicago he was terrible, and the bears offense was better when he gave up play calling duties.

lotteries do not eliminate tanking: see the nba. only getting rid of the draft entirely or having a true system that punishes teams for failure (like relegation) will do that. if your goal is to end tanking - or reduce it - in a fashion in keeping with the traditions of american sport and politically possible with themz then increase the number of teams who can make the playoffs.- 1,851 replies

super bowl winning coach gets hired = moar racism.

call me skeptical that" cant we all just get along" will work as a judicial philosphy.

i dont know if it would have changed their mind. but like mb says, there is a big difference between one unsubstantiated allegation in a case that was dropped and mutliple allegations of all types of wrongdoings. there is an issue with black coaches not being hired, eric bienemy shouldnt be the poster boy for that.
